Self-sufficiencyDescription
Hello, my name is Eléna, I'm a 23-year-old French girl!
I have just finished my Masters in International Tourism and travel before starting my working life.
I love discovering new places and cultures. I love nature, cooking and learning new recipes as well as reading.
I'd say I'm an empathetic, calm, inclusive and curious person who enjoys meeting new people. For me, travelling is not just about visiting places, it is also about getting involved locally. I am particularly motivated by agricultural projects.
Hello, I'm Léo! I'll be 25 in March 2025!
I'm a dynamic, sociable and curious French guy!
I love to walk in nature and my favourite thing is the yellow and orange leaves on the ground when autumn is coming. I'm a cinema fan and love to read a good book and talk about it!
I'm also a photography enthusiast and will be verry happy to make good pictures !
I'm a quick learner, always motivated and have energy to work outside!
Currently in Southeast Asia since May 2024;
It's our first time in Asia and we started this trip with a 5 month internship for Eléna and 5 month volunteering for Léo in Bali, Indonesia for a local NGO protecting endemic wildlife, creating permaculture garden and working with local communities.
We really enjoyed this volunteering experience and are looking forward to finding another mission where we can be useful and dive into a new culture again!
Our dream for the future is to build our house with eco-materials and traditional building methods, protect the land we have and raise our children with an open mind and good education about nature and how to preserve it.
We have one experience of Woofing in the French west indies, as we were house-sitting for 10 days, for a couple that went in holidays, we took care of the house, dogs and cats, and also the garden, cutting branches, using the brushcutter, planting new trees and vegetables.... etc.
We hope to meet you soon!

The food was amazing and we had the occasion to try local Thai food we never had before !
The hosts are very nice and even took us to the local temples and market and I had the opportunity to learn how to make traditional Thai lanterns with the local women.
