My name is Uma
I came back 3 years ago in Nong khai for take care my familly.
Before i was working in Bangkok in a vegeterian restaurent, like a cook and a cooking teacher, since 4 years.
Now i start a new life in the farm of my familly.
The target of this place its to share nowledge with local poeple,
about alternative constructions, organic agriculture, and languages too.
In the same hand i can teach about thai culture, cooking school, and much more.
Try to be selfsufficient.
The important thing you should know we dont make any profit from the farm, all the rice and the vegetables we grow is for the farm, famillies, friends, and volunteers. Its why we ask a contribution of 150 bath per day and person, this include accomodation, food cooking and eating togethers, electricity, gas for cooking and go to the market, electricity and water of cours, also cycle (2) for makes tours, and a very nice experiences in the thai rural isan culture.
We situated near nong khai in the rice field, close to a little village called Nong Bua Thong (golden lotus).
There is a cafe internet 5 min walk from the farm, 2 min by cycling.
Nong khai center is 25 min by cycling.
We build the farm 3 years ego,
all the materials come from the farm, not more then 20 meters around.
The structure of the roof and the wall is in bamboo ,
insulation is with rice straw. And the plaster in and outside by the soil from the field near,
this hous is very eco friendly
Hope the great interesting trip, all the best
