Description

Hi there! My name is Ed. I am a young man of 20-years-old, from the Netherlands. I am currently having a gap year from my study 'Biology teacher'. Right now I live and work in Amsterdam. I work in a restaurant as a cook and bartender, and I also work at a moving company, where I drive, organise and move people's stuff. Besides this I make paintings. (: I will be traveling by myself true Europe for 3 months! Starting in Portugal in the beginning of march. After this period he will leave and I will continue traveling until early June. (:::

I like keeping myself buisy with lots of stuff, such like DIY projects. Making my own edible mushrooms, making my own kimchi, and I would love to do more, more and more of these type of things.

I am really interested in health/biology in common, and what you can do to be a happy, and healthy person. Lately I am also really interested in bee keeping, I do not know much about beekeping yet, but i'd love to learn more. I also make paintings and I love doing that. At the end of december I organised my own big exhibition, where I learned to efficiently undertake certain things. I also really like cooking with friends, go out on a hike, party, dance or read a book. I am a extrovert person who likes meeting, and get to know new people, not in an overwhelming way, and experience, undertake and be part of new things.

I have lots of working experience! I have been working in restaurants for more than 3 years where I worked as a bartender, cook and waiter. I also have experience with teaching for half a year at high school, the children were 12-15 yo. When I was studying 'Biology teacher', I also learned a lot about the pedagogueic side of being a teacher. Besides this I have worked as a gardener and builder parttime, driver at moving company, countryside type of work (cabbages and tulips). I would say I am a handymen! (:

I think I am a men that is skilled with a lot of different things. I had a lot of jobs where i had to offer different skills. For example I worked for a long time in restaurants, where I had to deal with customer friendly service, the handle of payments, cash and with a cashier system. I have been a dishwasher, cook, bartender and ober in different restaurants with a total of 3 years. Besides working as a cook, this is also a great hobby of mine. I really like cooking, especially with homegrown crops and locally products. My preferations go out to 'selfmade'. I think this fascination comes from the garden that my parents have. Sometimes I help in this garden and do all sorts of work there.

Besides my broad field of experience in restaurants I have also worked as a gardener and landscape arranger for 1 year full time, and I have worked 3 years part time at a demolishment company. The type of people that worked here are way older than me, and the people I usualy go around with. I think because of this, my social skills have gone even more up as they already were! At these jobs I also got to do a lot of physical work, and see how to do this work in an efficient way.

I have a driver licence and lots of driving experience. I can speak and understand fluently English. Besides this I can speak a bit german and I am really open to learn new language(s)!

If I would have to say 3 main skills/abilities that I can offer, it would be the following: Socially strong, Physical work and Love for nature

What else ...

I like so many things to do!!! I really like nature in every part. From hiking with my friends to reading a book about walking bear foot or what the relation is between probiotics an health for example. I also really love making paintings and I would love to do that in other countries. I like cooking, dancing, experiencing new cultures. I am open for a lot of new stuff that I dont know much about.
