Description
Hiya! I'm Dora from Hungary, based in Amsterdam but currently travelling the world and volunteering :)
I’m currently working on my novel while exploring new corners of the world, always drawn to authentic experiences and meaningful connections. I love immersing myself in different cultures: getting to know people, their stories, and the little everyday details that make each place unique.
I’m quite an adventurous spirit and prefer travelling the non-traditional way: housesitting, hitchhiking, and volunteering along the way. Nature is a huge part of my life, you’ll often find me hiking, biking, trekking, or swimming whenever I get the chance. I care deeply about animals, plants, and the environment, and I also enjoy spending time with children, especially when it comes to learning and sharing knowledge.
I’m bilingual in English (having lived and worked in London for years), speak Hungarian, and some Spanish too — though I’d love to practise more! When I’m not out exploring, I’m usually reading (literature and philosophy are my absolute favourites), diving into cultural experiences, or indulging my inner movie nerd.
Always happy to connect, share stories, and create something meaningful wherever I go 🌍 -

More details about your skills
I’m a bilingual English speaker, having lived and worked in London for several years and now based in the Netherlands. I’m currently working on my novel in English and am confident in both writing and speaking, with a neutral transatlantic accent. Alongside Hungarian and some Spanish, I’ve facilitated language exchanges and led relaxed, conversational English sessions for learners of different levels and backgrounds.
With a degree in Economics and over 7 years of experience in marketing across the tech and entertainment industries, I can bring both business advice and a strategic marketing perspectives to projects. I’m also trained in film and work as a creative producer, with a strong focus on storytelling and crafting engaging visual content.
I’ve had hands-on experience working with children, including volunteering at summer camps for underprivileged kids, which has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to connect across age groups.
I’m also an experienced housesitter (you can find my profile at the link below), and I’ve volunteered at animal shelters—reflecting my deep care for animals and responsibility in looking after homes and pets.
On a practical level, I’m active, reliable, and hands-on, with great stamina and a positive, can-do attitude in a variety of environments. :)

What else ...
I have a deep passion for literature, philosophy, film, and the fine arts. I’m highly familiar with a wide range of artistic forms: from classic and contemporary literature to cinema, visual arts, and cultural theory, and I love engaging with these topics in a thoughtful and curious way. I’m always happy to share this passion through teaching, conversations, or discussions, whether it’s exploring ideas, recommending works, or simply connecting through a shared appreciation of art and culture.
Travelling and immersing myself in new cultures is a big part of who I am. I thrive on meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning firsthand about different ways of life. I love experiencing the world beyond the surface. I’m naturally curious, open-minded, and adaptable: someone who enjoys being around others while also fully embracing and respecting the culture I’m in. I bring an adventurous yet grounded energy, always eager to connect, contribute, and make the most out of every experience. -
