Description
I've always been lucky enough to travel and learn about other people and places, and having learnt French and Spanish this means more friends and better experiences. I have just finished my training to be a UK teacher but I still want to explore new places and keep learning.
I love and feel connected to the natural world - if only I lived in a warmer country! Hiking is something I love whether alone or with friends (I am quite extroverted but also enjoy my own company). I don't consider myself a particularly artistic person although I'm told that being a good cook and lover of music means this isn't true.
I cared for my mother throughout my childhood so looking after others is an important part of my identity and this is likely the source of my commitment to Human Rights and Education.
I'm a hard working, etymology-loving morning (and evening) person.

I can speak English and French fluently and my Spanish is intermediate level. I have recently trained to be a languages teacher, meaning I have a DBS check. I was a carer for my mother for many years of my life and have looked after many children as well as pupils at school. I was a chef for a while, have worked in many restaurants over the years and love to cook and eat new foods (I try to limit how much meat I eat and don't eat pork). I can't say that I am an instrumentalist but I love music and have done acting/performing on and off. I must admit that I am not great with computers but I know how to do all the basic things and can generally work IT stuff out when it's simple. I am a hard worker (I had my first job when I was 13) and have good interpersonal skills.
