Description
Hiya, we are Dexter & Mel. I'm a 33 year-old Designer from London and my partner Mel is a 32 year-old Yoga teacher from Glasgow. We are travelling Australia on a Working Holiday visa, hoping to see as much of it as possible over the next 2/3 years.
We are both hardworking individuals who don't shy away from a tough challenge. We are also proactive problem solvers, with a keen interest in learning new skills. We're sociable and make an effort to integrate into a household, but are also understanding and respectful of peoples' space, having lived in various shared accommodation throughout our lives.
Dexter: I am always happy to help around the house in any way possible, whether that be cleaning, cooking or gardening. I'm also eager to assist with repairs, DIY projects, or any hands-on tasks. My enthusiasm for learning means I am always ready to tackle new challenges and contribute to making your home a better place. My background is in Graphic design, so I'm also more than willing to use my skills and experience from the industry in any way needed, if you have any marketing / social media / website design needs.
Mel: I am a lover of animals, nature and children looking to contribute my experience in these areas. I love being outdoors and connected to the earth learning about wildlife and plants. I like getting mucky building, planting, weeding and growing. I am really interested in learning about the management of land and animals, specifically regenerative farming. I love animals and all aspects of animal care - I never shy away from the mucking out part. I'm also experienced in babysitting and love coming up with creative play ideas for kids as well as reading stories and having mini adventures. I'd also love to teach free Yoga classes during our stay for all the family!

What else ...
We love exploring new places and getting outdoors. We enjoy hiking and have recently taken up surfing which we love and are keen to embrace.
Dex: I love swimming and I'm also a massive football fan (Arsenal is my team). I also used to regularly host board game nights with friends in London.
Mel: I love Yoga, listening to music and playing guitar. I also love reading books in my spare time.
