My next destination:
Spain - from Jan 2025 until Dec 2025 View allDescription
I've taken 2025 for myself to explore different parts of Spain with the hope of finding my new home. My dream is to buy a piece of land, build a cob house, grow my own fruits and vegetables, and be as self-sufficient as possible. More than anything, I want to be part of (or help create) a loving, down-to-earth community. A space where I can share in the joys of meditation, yoga, simple living, and laughter… something I’ve realised has been missing from my life for too long.
I'm a qualified holistic therapist, reflexologist, life coach, reiki master, yoga instructor, and meditation teacher, and I’d love to share these skills wherever they’re welcome.
I see Workaway as a beautiful opportunity to meet kindred spirits, contribute meaningfully, and exchange energy... my time and care in return for wholesome food, good company, and a temporary place to call home.
😊 Important Note
❌ At the moment, I’m not seeking roles that involve heavy-duty gardening or farm work.
❌ I'm also not looking for roles that involve working with children. This includes teaching, playing with, or caring for them in any capacity, as it's not something I feel naturally suited to or enjoy.Interests

More details about your skills
My passion is helping people relax and live a healthy, balanced life. Their best life, whatever that means to them.
I love supporting others to declutter and organise their homes, and I’ve got a good eye for rearranging furniture to create or enhance space. I can do basic DIY like assembling flat-pack furniture, hanging pictures, painting, and filling walls. I recently helped a host install sun shades on her rooftop terrace and create custom mosquito screens. I’ve also upcycled furniture and refreshed kitchen cupboards with paint and new handles.
I enjoy cooking and keep a clean, tidy kitchen. I have great recipes for high-protein, gluten-free vegan bread, chickpea cookies, and other healthy dishes that always go down well. I’m happy to share the recipes and teach anyone who’s interested.
I’ve worked as a holiday rep, greeting guests, resolving issues, and cleaning accommodation. I also have experience house-sitting and caring for dogs, cats and chickens in both the UK and Spain.
I teach yoga, meditation and reiki professionally, and have run retreats and workshops through my healthcare business since 1998.
I'm also qualified to teach English as a foreign language and happy to help adults with conversational English.
I love learning new skills and am open to being taught — whether it’s plastering walls, tiling, building a cob house, or learning how to care for animals I'm not experienced with, like horses.
I’ve volunteered through Workaway, Trusted Housesitters, HelpX, and WWOOF in Australia, the Galapagos, New Zealand, Spain and the UK. Tasks included land clearance, fence building, assisting with hipotherapy sessions for disabled children, bottle-feeding orphaned kangaroos and wallabies, cooking, bed-making, laundry, hostel reception work, pet care, house-sitting and plant watering, and general DIY around the home.Age

A Few Things About Me
✔ I love being in nature — by the ocean, under the stars, watching sunrises and sunsets, moonlight, trees and plants.
✔ I enjoy walking, daily yoga practice, reading, learning, and growing as a person.
✔ I like to play cards. I can’t remember many games, but I’m always happy to learn new ones! I’ve recently discovered the Monopoly Deal card game and enjoy it a lot. I even have a set with me.
✔ I meditate for 20 minutes twice a day, every day, and get great joy from teaching this valuable life skill to others.
✔ I’ve travelled through 46 countries, always preferring to immerse myself in the culture and spend time getting to know people.
✔ I’m happy to help adults practise conversational English through friendly, relaxed chats.
✔ I’m hoping to improve my Spanish. I know a few phrases, and I even have an excellent programme on my laptop (though I haven’t opened it in ten years!).
✔ I’ve recently returned to a mostly plant-based diet and love trying out new vegan recipes (and sharing my favourites too). I’m not strictly vegan — I still eat eggs, meat and fish occasionally — and I’m very flexible and open to eating what’s served to me.
✔ I enjoy cooking and preparing meals, and sharing recipes.
A Few Important Things for Me
✔ A non-smoking environment.
✔ My own bedroom (not shared).
✔ A comfortable bed — I'm very sensitive to poor sleep!
✔ To be around genuinely kind, good-natured people. Some more information
