Description

I lead a simple quiet life on a farm in South Australia with my husband and eldest adult son. I have mostly worked with youth, their education and wellbeing in schools for employment. I enjoy meeting new people of all ages and having conversations about self-exploration and discovery. I appreciate learning wisdoms from indigenous people and their cultures, especially of places I visit. Exploring nature, reading, listening to music and various art forms are my leisure activities.

My main employment has been working with vulnerable youth and helping them find direction, set goals, apply for documentation/ licences and help them learn more through schooling and training. This involved communicating with families and students, setting learning programs, running to a schedule, note taking, managing a budget, and data entry.

I have raised a family on a cereals and beef farm for 35 years with my husband, so I am capable of doing housekeeping jobs such as food prep, cleaning, laundry, along with a range of manual labouring, driving basic machinery, fixing fences and fixtures. Although I can herd cattle with vehicles, I am not confident with them on foot. Our farm was organic/biodynamic for 20 year so understand that system.We have had dogs and cats as pets that I am very comfortable with. I do the book keeping and administration work for the farm business too.

We built an house extension and do repairs to our homes , so can do things such as painting and plastering.

I was employed in hospitality jobs through periods of study so am confident with serving food, expresso coffees and alcohol. I have a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate in my state and have done volunteer bar work in the past few years at a festival and at our local community centre.
