Description
Hello All!
I am at a point in my life where I started to think "is this it?". The answer is clearly NO. I have not seen enough of our amazing world to get stuck in the rut until retirement. 2023 is going to be my year, and any year thereafter.
I want to meet new people, learn new skills, taste new food, have new experiences, feed my soul & brain, see new & old sites, employ & share my skills to a more fulfilling scope, laugh more, feel carefree & content again.
I am pretty easy going, considerate, engaging, reliable, hands-on, very approachable, very open and honest, but can be too direct for some people (that's the German gene I think).
My interests: historic sites, history in general, architecture, art, colourful culture, vine, food, cooking, animals, anything involving water and beach, deep sky observation, fashion, design, crafting, jewellery making and many more. Love travelling and am interested in tourism opportunities.
My skills: tech savvy, marketing, event management, tour guide, I am very organised, love painting walls, upcycling furniture, DIY, overall quite creative, good with kids, knowledge of plants and gardening, love face-to-face contact with customers. I am good with animals (used to own horse), teaching (TEFL level 5). I am making (and trying to sell) handcrafted silver jewellery, traditionally made or from metal clay.
This is just a tiny glimpse really.
I am German but have been living in UK these past 17 years.
In 2023 I quit my job in customer service, quit my rental accommodation and put my drastically reduced household in storage (in UK). I have no fixed address at the moment and therefore am pretty flexible. So far I have been helping a friend renovate her house (in UK), looked after another friend with back pain (in UK), volunteered at a horse charity (in Wales) and did dog and house sitting (in NZ).
I am looking for an opportunity in Europe from March/April 2024.
Drop me a line if you think I would be a good fit.
Sunny greetings

Had planned 2 weeks, stayed over 3 - says it all really. Nice team, lovely animals, cozy accommodation, great location in beautiful surroundings. Work started at 8:30. Nothing nicer than being greeted by the animals upon entering the barn. My fav part was mucking out stables in the morning. There is something very… read more
