Hola! We're Clare and Patrick, we're originally from the UK but we have spent the last 5 years living in Australia. We both love exploring, travelling and submerging ourselves in local cultures with local people. We're currently on a year long trip in South and Central America and keen to get off the beaten path and learn more about local life. Clare is a Chef and Food Writer, Patrick is a Structural Engineer and Barista. We're both hard-working, timely and keen to help out with a variety of tasks, learn more and share our skills. We've been learning Spanish for the last few months and are keen to continue improving our Spanish as we go. In our free time we love hiking, surfing, skiing, cooking, climbing, coffee, swimming and yoga.

Patrick - I'm a Structural Engineer and have 10 years experience working closely with builders & architects on all sorts of projects, primarily domestic. Although I'm no builder, I've a lot of experience workshopping details on site and know what does and doesn't work from a design and practical perspective.
Clare - I'm a Chef and Food Writer, I've had a varied career in food from working in restaurants such as Ottolenghi in London to pop ups, ski lodges, private cheffing and writing recipes and menus. I've worked a lot with both savoury and pastry, I'd be very wiling to share my skills and also learn more about local cuisine and customs.
We're both practical hardworking people and can muck in with anything DIY, painting, gardening, fruit and vegetable growing and harvesting, construction (if you show us how!) etc. We're keen to learn new skills.
