  • Description

I believe that the best way to understand a new country is by becoming part of the local community. I joined Workaway because I’m looking for authentic experiences and the chance to meet people whose lifestyle is different from what I’m used to at home.

What motivates me most is the opportunity to learn new things every day—whether it’s mastering a new practical skill, understanding how a specific project works, or simply picking up a new way of doing things. I find genuine happiness in being productive, seeing the results of my hard work, and sharing a good meal or a conversation with others at the end of the day. I’m a very hands-on and curious person, and I’m always eager to lend a hand, share a laugh, and contribute to a positive environment. I'm excited to step out of my comfort zone, help out wherever I'm needed, and create some great memories along the way!

  • More details about your skills

I am a hands-on, practical person who enjoys learning new things. While I am not a trained tradesperson, I am eager to get my hands dirty and support you in your daily projects.

Through my voluntary ecological year at a wildlife park, I gained practical experience in the daily care and feeding of animals, maintaining enclosures, and ensuring their well-being.

Having grown up with a family garden, I am well-acquainted with garden maintenance, planting, weeding, and general yard work. I am happy to help keep your garden in shape.

I enjoy building things, such as my own furniture. I am comfortable using basic tools and have a good understanding of technical tasks. I am always keen to learn how to fix or build things under your guidance.

My time as a Scout and my international volunteer service in Kenya taught me how to adapt quickly to new environments and take on responsibility. I am used to living and working in diverse settings.

I am always happy to help with various tasks around the farm or house, including repairs, tidying up, or any other daily chores that need to be done.

  • What else ...

I love to be creative and am always experimenting with new projects. My creative outlets are very diverse—the things I’ve tried are too many to list, but they range from drawing, painting, and sewing to making dreamcatchers, designing lampshades, and creating flyers. I’ve even explored crafts like bookbinding and papermaking.

Cooking is another big passion of mine, especially for groups. In Germany, I frequently cooked for groups of up to 10 people and really enjoy the social side of it. I genuinely enjoy practical work and am always eager to master new techniques—if you have a project or a specific way of doing things, I am ready to learn.

Sustainability is also very important to me, so I spend a lot of time learning about ecological topics and how to create things myself rather than buying them.

Aside from that, I’m deeply interested in culture—whether it’s the local subculture of a small band or larger societal developments. Currently,

I’m also diving into the world of electronics, mechanics, and energy systems to broaden my technical knowledge.
