Description
Hi! I'm Donovon, 36 years old originally from the Cayman Islands but currently based in Lebanon. I love to explore new places, meet new people, and learn about new cultures. I also love to cook (mostly Caymanian and Jamaican dishes), and am very interested in architecture, design, history, politics and current events, and the arts. I'm friendly, curious, respectful, and love meaningful conversations with all types of people. I also never say no to a party! I've lived in the Caribbean, UK, Europe, and most recently based in the Middle East.
Some of the ways I can contribute:
-I've taken on or helped with a few DIY/ construction projects (and would love to learn more in this space)
-I've always found gardening and backyard farming enjoyable and willing to lend a hand in your own garden
-I love to cook, and would be happy to help prepare meals or learn from your own regional cuisine!
-I'm happy to help keep spaces clean and tidy... I know that can be difficult in big or busy households!
-I've helped care for children of all ages (I have younger cousins and god children) and have no issue helping out with families (as long as it's in a safe and comfortable environment for all)
I have a professional background that includes hospitality, events, and the arts so if that could be of any use to you don't hesitate to ask!
I am currently in Europe and would love to meet up, find a travel buddy, or immerse myself in somewhere new for a couple of months!

I'm recently very interested in living and working in a Portuguese-speaking community, so if you're a Portuguese speaker and don't mind being patient with me, I'd love to learn! My French is very basic, but I would also love to improve my French speaking skills!

My professional background includes hospitality, events, sports, and arts management among other things. I love architectural design, DIY/handiwork, gardening and farming. I enjoy cooking for others (especially Caymanian and Jamaican food) and can help keep your house clean and tidy. I've also undertaken a few DIY projects before, so if you're tackling some yourself I'm happy to lend a hand.
I used to teach ages 13-18 public speaking, debate, Caribbean Literature, and Caymanian History/ Society on a voluntary basis for several years and loved it! I also have 4 god sons (ages 2-13) and younger cousins and siblings... so quite comfortable with babies or children and happy to help with childcare and keeping children entertained.
