Description
Hi! We are Thaddé and Camille, a French couple aged 21 and 22 currently travelling around New Zealand. We want to discover the country through authentic experiences, outdoor work, meeting new people and living closer to nature.
We are both curious, sociable, motivated and always happy to learn new things. We enjoy stepping out of our comfort zone, discovering different lifestyles and sharing meaningful experiences with the people we meet.
Thaddé studied sports science and physical education (STAPS degree in Education and Motor Skills). Sport, outdoor activities and hiking have always been an important part of his life. Through his experiences in sports coaching, events, hospitality, sales and temporary jobs, he developed strong teamwork skills, adaptability and enjoys physical work.
Camille studied geography and urban planning. She is organised, adaptable and interested in understanding places, people and different ways of living. She also has experience in urban planning, sales and hospitality, which helped her develop strong communication skills and flexibility. She also has an international driver’s licence.
We both speak English comfortably in everyday situations, even if we are still improving and expanding our vocabulary through travel and new experiences.
Right now, we are mainly looking for outdoor projects where we can help physically, learn new skills and connect more with nature. We would especially love to work with animals, as it is something that really attracts us both.
We are respectful, reliable, easy-going and always happy to help with daily tasks while bringing good energy and motivation. Looking forward to meeting you and sharing a great experience together!

One of the things we are looking forward to the most through Workaway is meeting locals and sharing everyday life with people from New Zealand. For us, hosting is not only about work exchange, but also about human connection, discovering different lifestyles and improving our English naturally through conversations and daily experiences. We really enjoy meeting new people, learning from others and sharing good moments together.

We are both very curious people who love learning by doing and discovering things directly through experience. We adapt quickly to new environments and genuinely enjoy stepping out of our comfort zone to try new things. We learn fast, and that is probably one of our biggest strengths.
Having grown up in a rural environment, we have always felt close to nature and outdoor life. We enjoy being outside, staying active, doing physical work and helping wherever we can. Sport is also an important part of our lifestyle, so we are comfortable with physical tasks and busy days.
We also already have experience with agricultural work, so we understand that outdoor jobs can be physically demanding and require motivation and consistency every day. Thaddé has worked in a plant nursery and already knows the rhythm of manual outdoor work. Camille also worked in agricultural jobs when she was younger, especially in corn fields. We are not afraid of early mornings, working outside in different weather conditions and fully committing ourselves to the tasks we are given.
Through our different experiences in hospitality, sales, events, sports coaching and other student jobs, we learned how to be versatile, resourceful and keep a positive attitude while working. We enjoy human connection, teamwork and meeting people with different lifestyles and experiences.
We are especially interested in simple and authentic projects, particularly those connected to nature and animals. It is something that really motivates us during our time in New Zealand.
Outside of work, we enjoy simple things like hiking, drawing, playing guitar, having good conversations, discovering new passions and enjoying everyday moments.

What else ...
In our free time, we both really enjoy music, whether it’s listening to it or trying to play a bit ourselves. Our hobbies tend to change quite often, as we are both curious and always discovering new interests along the way.
Recently, we have been especially into drawing. We like to sketch what we see around us, the places we visit and the small details of everyday life, even if we are still beginners. It’s just something simple and relaxing for us, a way to slow down and observe our surroundings more carefully while travelling.
