  • Description

    Hi there,

My name is Bowen, and I’m from China. I’m currently planning a long-term journey across Africa this year, and I’m very excited to meet people, learn new skills, and experience local life along the way.

I have traveled to several countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, the United States, and Namibia. Through these experiences, I’ve realized that what I value most is not just seeing places, but truly understanding different cultures and connecting with people from all backgrounds. I am very open-minded and always curious about local ways of life.

At the moment, I am especially interested in gardening and planting. I have my own small garden and some basic experience growing plants, and I would love to learn more hands-on skills. I enjoy physical work and don’t mind getting dirty—in fact, I find it very rewarding.

I am also very interested in learning how to take care of horses on a farm. Although I don’t have direct experience with horse riding or stable work yet, I am highly motivated to learn and willing to help with any tasks needed. I’m comfortable around animals—I spent a month volunteering at a wildlife foundation in Namibia, where I learned how to interact with and care for animals in a responsible way.

Personality-wise, I am outgoing, positive, and easy to get along with. I used to be shy, but traveling has helped me become much more confident and open. I enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, and creating a friendly atmosphere. I believe I can bring good energy to your place and be a helpful, reliable part of your team.

I am also a big animal lover—my time in Africa really changed me in that way. My favorite animal is the cheetah! And yes, I’m definitely a cat person :P If you are too, I’m sure we’ll have plenty to talk about. And if you have cats, that would be amazing!

Thank you for reading my introduction. I’m really looking forward to meeting you, contributing to your project, and building meaningful connections along the way :)

  • More details about your skills

I speak Chinese (Mandarin), so if you’re interested in learning Chinese, I’d be more than happy to teach you.

I have been to Namibia, where I volunteered at a local wildlife foundation for a month. During that time, I learned how to take care of different animals and gained some basic knowledge of animal nutrition.

I also have some experience with construction work. Back in college, I helped my landlord redesign and redecorate his houses, so I’m somewhat familiar with tasks like painting walls and basic renovation work. I actually worked to help cover my college expenses, but I genuinely enjoyed the experience—it was a lot of fun, and I still think about it fondly.

In addition, I have experience in planting and gardening. If you need help growing plants or maintaining a garden, I’d be happy to contribute.

And if making people laugh counts as a skill—well, not to brag, but I’d say I’m pretty good at it :)
