Dear Hosts,

My name is Blanka and l am a curious and fun travel lover who loves to learn new things.

I have already travelled a lot around the world and I absolutely loved meeting new people along the way. All my Workaway experiences have been wonderful.

To tell you a bit about my background, l am Hungarian, I grew up in Brussels and I come from a family of 6. Growing up in a big family like mine, there was always someone around. We loved taking our dogs for walks together, going on cultural or adventurous outings or simply plating board games. Being the eldest and having worked as a camp counselor for years I became very comfortable with children.

Besides my family, I also love getting involved in my community through volunteering, helping students in need, or defending human rights. Other hobbies of mine are reading books, working on creative projects, dancing, doing yoga or Pilates, and spending time with my friends.

I just finighed my master in Law in Paris, so I am back on the road again and I really hope to meet new people through Workaway again.

Etudiante, voyageuse passionnée et aventurière dans l'âme, mon parcours m’a permis de développer une série de compétences, notamment interpersonnelles. Ces dernières années, en plus de mes études, j’ai travaillé en tant que recruteuse de donateurs pour une association, en tant qu’animatrice et en tant qu’hôtesse de conférence. J’ai ainsi perfectionné mes capacités de communication et acquis une expertise dans la planification d’activités ludiques et éducatives, ainsi que dans la gestion de groupe. J’ai également développé des compétences en leadership et en coordination d’évènements en tant que présidente de diverses associations.

En somme, je suis très sociable, dynamique, impliquée, et je suis là pour faire tout travail avec le sourire, toujours prête à donner un coup de main avec le cœur. Toujours accueillante, je fais de mon mieux pour rendre chaque environnement un peu plus chaleureux et joyeux. J'ai hâte de partager mes expériences et de continuer à apprendre et grandir avec vous tous !

As a student, passionate traveler, and adventurer at heart, my journey has allowed me to develop a range of skills, particularly interpersonal ones. Over the past few years, alongside my studies, I have worked as a donor recruiter for an association, as an animator, and as a conference hostess. Through these experiences, I have honed my communication skills and gained expertise in planning fun and educational activities, as well as in group management. I have also developed leadership and event coordination skills as the president of various associations.

In essence, I am very sociable, dynamic, and committed, and I am here to do any job with a smile, ready to lend a hand with heart. Always welcoming, I do my best to make every environment a little warmer and happier. I look forward to sharing my experiences and continuing to learn and grow with you all!

L'année dernière, c’est la première fois que j'ai voyagé seule pendant une période plus longue. Aller au Cambodge pendant un mois pour travailler avec une ONG locale a été une expérience incroyablement enrichissante à la fois sur le plan professionnel et personnel.

Après être arrivé au Cambodge, je me suis retrouvé immergé dans une culture vibrante, différente de tout ce que j'avais jamais connu auparavant. Les week-ends on explorait des marchés animés, des temples anciens et de beaux paysages, tandis que les jours de semaine je contribuais à un travail significatif aux côtés de personnes dévouées à faire la différence dans leur communauté.

Les liens que j'ai tissés avec les habitants et les autres volontaires m’ont beaucoup impacté. Partage des histoires, des repas et des rires a suscité en moi le désir de continuer à explorer le monde et de redonner là où je le peux. Je suis convaincue que le voyage et le volontariat favorisent l’empathie, la compréhension de l’autre et le changement positif dans notre monde interconnecté.

Last year was the first time I travelled alone for a longer period of time. Going to Cambodia for a month to work with a local NGO was truly enriching on both professional and personal levels.

After arriving to Cambodia, I found myself immersed in a vibrant culture, unlike anything I had ever experienced before. Weekends were spent exploring bustling markets, ancient temples, and beautiful landscapes, while weekdays were filled with meaningful work alongside passionate individuals dedicated to make a difference with their community.

The connections I formed with locals and fellow volunteers were incredibly impactful. Sharing stories, meals, and laughter ignited a desire to continue exploring the world and giving back wherever I can. This experience reinforced my belief in the power of travel and volunteerism to foster empathy, understanding, and positive change in an interconnected world.
