Hi, I’m Bethan! I’m 32, originally from England but I’ve lived in Australia for most of my life. Travel has always been a big part of who I am – I’ve been lucky enough to explore around 30 countries so far. Along the way, I’ve studied journalism, done an exchange in Denmark, joined a study tour in Bali, and even taught English in Poland. Those experiences really showed me how much I love connecting with people across cultures.

I’m passionate about tea and once ran my own tea house in Melbourne, which was a dream come true. Although I recently closed it, I still run my tea business online and love sharing that passion with others. My next big goal is to become an English teacher, and I’m excited to gain more hands-on experience, especially working with children.

Creativity and kindness bring me happiness. I enjoy cooking, baking, and doing yoga, and I’m also very artistic. Animals are a huge part of my life – I’m a vegetarian and share my home with two cats, two dogs, and a whole lot of fish! Whether it’s making a meal, caring for animals, or helping someone learn, I find joy in contributing in a thoughtful, caring way.

English language & teaching – I studied journalism and have experience teaching English in Poland. I enjoy helping others learn and communicate, whether it’s grammar, conversation practice, or confidence-building.

Childcare – I love working with children and previously worked as an au pair in Paris. I’m patient, caring, and creative, and enjoy reading, playing, and doing fun activities with kids.

Cooking & baking – I love preparing both vegetarian and family-style meals. I enjoy baking bread, cakes, and treats, and I’m always keen to try new recipes.

Social media & content creation – Through running my own tea business, I’ve gained strong skills in photography, writing, video making, and editing. I can create engaging content and help with online promotion.

What else ...

I love spending time in nature and currently have my own veggie and herb garden where I’m growing things like potatoes, carrots, and kale. I also enjoy volunteering and for three years helped at a community farm, where I looked after sheep, chickens, goats, and even guinea pigs. It was a wonderful experience that combined my love of animals with learning about sustainable living.

In my free time, I also enjoy board games, reading, yoga, and creative projects. I like to keep busy, learn new things, and share experiences with others.
