Description

I go by the name Ra, I’m a calm and communicative girl with passion for the little things in life. Living in Canada is amazing but it’s difficult to travel as much since it’s a huge country! So I’ve decided take a working holiday visa for Italy and I’m looking to work and travel across the country. Now I am continuing my travels to the rest of the world!

I am looking to broaden my skills and create beautiful experiences with good people. I would love to help in any restaurants, sustainable environmental projects, hostels, art projects, photography, homestead, running your socials, teaching english, and share my cooking skills while learning more about different cuisines.

I have a variety of interests and experience which include cooking, painting, teaching, working in restaurants, computer skills, gardening on my own small gardens and helping with friend's farms in Quebec. I am great with kids as I grew up being a second parent to my siblings, surrounded with other children in my extended family and also teaching kids how to read and write in community schools. I have spent a lot of time in the Rockies and I love being outdoors when the weather is not freezing cold!

I’m a passionate person about everything in life. From conversations about your day/my day to simple fresh produce I find to make my meals. I am social, easy-going and I like that people feel at ease with me. I appreciate honesty as I can be too honest sometimes!

**My year in Italy is coming to an end and I have been blessed to meet wonderful hosts, workawayers and see almost the entire country. The experiences I had so far have been life changing. From the badass woman who is single handedly changing the culture of the small town in Aspromonte, Calabria by bringing young and diverse Workawayers for help in the restaurant to using my Arabic skills with a Catalan geographer who taught me more about making hummus and the Arab world than my Middle Eastern friends! I have many experiences I can't imagine would have happened without Workaway and also my alignment with my values to which I am truly grateful for. But now I am looking to continue moving and explore a new environments outside of Italy.
