Description
We are two bestfriends Asia and Zaya a medical doctor and an anthropologist from the north of Italy. We love living new experiences around the world and meeting people to interact with. Our deep contrast with mainstream and capitalist society also led us to prefer a more sustainable and less touristy way of traveling and inspired us to sign up for workaway. We consider respect and understanding different cultures extremely important and we actively work for an open dialog over every aspects of our lives.
We really enjoy open air spaces, open minded and stimulating environments where is possible to enreach each others. We're looking for spaces that allow for political critique and personal/collective growth in order to compare and share our ideals.
We have a good spirit of adaptability and we are comfortable in various contexts but our preferences lies in green places shared with people and animals, where we can engage in agricultural activities, self-productions and immerse ourselves in traditional culture and cuisine. We love to experiment with creative business in many fields such as ceramic, music, dance and visual arts in general, all while keeping a focus on recycling art.
We are both also involved in social initiatives, both in harm reduction projects within independent collectives, and in volunteer activities in the medical field, with a particular inclination towards low-threshold services and social justice.
We are excited to be fully committed to projects we're joining, usually putting a big effort to respect and treat places like they were our own. We won't have any problem with costumes, cultures and religious aspects. Yet we expect respect to be mutual, communication to be clear and work to be fair.
We don't like to be exploitet or considered as zero cost workers instead of hiring local people and pay them decently.

More details about your skills
We both know how to use basic agricolture tools and stuff (we had a small vegetable organic garden), we are very adaptable in quite every situation and we love learning and applying for new things.
Asia:
I work as a general practitioner in jail in Italy, now I'm travelling with my partner Jan (from Germany) in South-East Asia.
I worked in a musical company as a help director, in a bar as a waitress, I have some experiences as a babysitter and as a homework helper. I have danced for years in some benefits shows and I've organized some music events. I travelled a lot and I came in contact with the nature of many places where I always helped people to do traditional activities that they teached me. I have some skills in building and maintenance outdoor and indoor environments. I learn fast and when I don't get things at first, I make up for my shortcomings with hard work.
I love social moments but I also need personal space and peace to decompress when overstimulated or tired.
I am good in communication and I love things to be fair. Honesty and respect are my biggest values.
Zaya:
because of my love for travels,at once I had the possibility to work as volounteer in an organic farm in an eco village situated in klil(north palestine) where I also experienced playing and teaching english bases to some cute children for some months.
Then I lived in Sardinia in a village where i learned to live in the middle of the wild nature without any comfort except clean water and a gas cooker! Then I met local people in a close small city and I worked with them at the market selling local cheese, honey and liquors.
I love to work with animals and years ago I learned how to milk goats in a farm and mang other things about animal care.
Then i decide to settle for some years in Torin to study Antrhopology. While i was studyng i worked as bartender and in some amazing harm reduction projects. I am part of some political collective for human rights, especially for women, not binary people, people who use drugs and I am active in projects against gender violence. My passion for different culture and subcultures really open my mind and developed my curiosity for all the differences that exists all around the world:)🌎
