Description
We are a couple from the US and Peru, tending to a 9-hectare piece of land nestled in a quiet mountain valley. There is a pristine river 5 minutes away and plenty of gorgeous wilderness to explore.
This is a unique place because there is no electricity, no wifi, basically no cell signal, and no close by neighbors. It is a break for the nervous system to be away from it all and fully connect to nature. While feeling very remote, the land is accessible by car and only 15 minutes from the Vilcabamba town center. The community here is very active with social events (our favorites are ecstatic dance, yoga, Kirtan, sweat lodges and spa days), you can easily plug into a community of cool people from all over the world when you want a break from the quiet finca life.
Possible work could include animal care (dogs, cat, horse, donkey, bees), tending the garden spaces, planting fruit trees, natural building, spearheading or supporting a new project you are interested in learning about (we are hoping to get chickens, worm for composting, perhaps make some fish ponds and some new cabins...)Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Vilcabamba is a unique community. Many people who come here fall in love and never leave. That's why we have a very large population of expats from all corners of the world. There are different pockets of microcultures because of this, something for everyone. In general you will find many open-minded people as well as people out there sharing their gifts( which means lots of fun events and also deep healing work offerings). The untouched nature, rivers and mountains also offers deep healing and fun exploration. You could take our horse Monty on a trail ride (if you have experience) or go with a local guide by horseback or foot.
Help
Possible work could include animal care (dogs, cat, horse, donkey, bees), tending the garden spaces, planting fruit trees, natural building, spearheading or supporting a new project you are interested in learning about (we are hoping to get chickens, worm for composting, perhaps make some fish ponds and some new cabins...). We will have specific needs of the moment but we also like to find a good balance between the farms needs and the interests of the volunteer. If there's something you feel skilled at or want to learn more about we can discuss projects specific to your interests.

There is a wooden cabin available(see pictures). It is a cozy, private space. There is a living room area, small kitchen and a full bed in the sleeping loft. There is an outdoor bathroom and shower nearby that is only for this cabin.
Food is not provided, but we can help with bringing groceries to the cabin, where there is a kitchen for cooking, there are also many tasty restaurants in townWhat else ...
There are countless things to do with your time off, and we can help you arrange anything. Just let us know what your interested in and we can give you many options.
