Hi!
My name is Arjen and I am 21 years old. I come from Switzerland and I am making a trip to Istanbul, Turkey. I’ll start in January 2020 and I’ve planned four months for this trip. My first stop will be in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
I chose this route, because I know very little about the Eastern European countries and I never had the opportunity to travel them.
The exact route and the respective length of stay at the stops from Ljubljana to Istanbul are not defined yet. This will give me more flexibility. During this time I am looking forward to meet many people, improve my English and support others with my craftmanship. I am also very motivated to learn new things and expand my skills.
My resume:
I did my apprenticeship as a landscape gardener and finished it in 2017 with a nationally recognized diploma. I have learned how to maintain a garden (cutting bushes, tending trees and felling small ones, ...), how to install pavements and coverings, build walls and stairs, etc. An ecological and sustainable way of working is very important to me. After gaining some experience in this field, I worked as a kitchen fitter for a short time and learned new skills in woodworking.
In my free time I played trumpet for a long time in the music society. One year ago, I stopped and started with Parkour / Freerunning instead. I am also interested to learn new sports.
