Description
I’m a fortunate person to be innately enthusiastic and proudly curious. Meaningful meetings, adventures big and small, creativity, new knowledge, pretty much everything involving food, and spending time in nature are all ingredients in the good life for me. Having recently retired after 38 years of successful, rewarding and deeply meaningful teaching, I’m eager to spend more of my time pursuing all these interests.
WorkAway seems a pathway to so much of all this and more, so here I go. -

More details about your skills
Professionally, I was a committed teacher of ESL, literature and religious/philosophical studies at secondary level, highly experienced in planning, structuring and communicating insights and knowledge, but also in guiding and counseling.
I trained to become a certified systemic coach, using my qualifications both at school and with private clients, as well as free-lance facilitating teambuilding and collaboration in outdoor settings.
I’m a decent - and dedicated - cook, knowledgeable of different food cultures as well as nutrition and sustainability.
Many years ago, I worked as a teacher in the US for a year, and in GB for a string of summers. Generally I have travelled quite a lot, backpacking rather than resorting. I find that I’m easily at home and adjust happily in new surroundings. -
