Description
Hey! My name is Helene, I´m 18 years old and I´m from Germany. Last year I graduated high school and now I am ready to try out new things- such as “workaway”. I am curious to delve deeper into other cultures and become a part of the community, away from regular tourism :D
Especially I am interested in traveling to Ireland, because I love the Irish spirit, landscape, music … and the rainy weather ;) I would like to learn practical skills, for example in relation to gardening, animal care and working at a pub, or anything else that is necessary to be a helping hand during my stay. Of course, I´d be happy to refine my English skills too and maybe to learn a little bit Irish as well.
Playing the violin, drawing, playing any kind of games, acting, going into the cinema or theatre and being outside are among my interests. I am open minded, sociable, energetic and easygoing.

I did an internship at the zoo, where I worked with many different animal species, such as donkeys, goats, and birds. I cleaned their enclosures and prepared food for them. So I don’t mind getting dirty, or starting work early in the day.
Besides that, I have been part of the teamer community in our local church congregation for a few years. My responsibilities included taking care of the confirmands during trips and explaining group tasks to them. I really liked playing games with them and having a sense of community.
Currently I am working in a bakery. It´s lots of fun, to prepare the shop and have contact with the customers. Trough that, I gained some experience in working with stressful situations and in sales as well.
