Description
Hello there.
I'm Andrea.
I've lived in the UK all my life-53 years. I've been working the last 18 years in the same industry and now feel it's time to fulfil a lifelong ambition to travel Africa and other countries to help organisations with their projects, gain new experiences and be involved in different cultures. I would like to give my time, knowledge and skills to assist communities that need help.

More details about your skills
I'm an outgoing person , love adventure and meeting new people. My main passion is travelling, which I have done quite extensively over the years, and before my 18 years as an estate agent , I was a travel consultant and also worked in hospitality.
I have various qualifications in business studies and travel and estate agency. My roles in these businesses have been relationship building, customer focused, negotiating and delivering exceptional customer service. Assisting the journey of a house sale / purchase is one of the most important and stressful transactions someone does and I try to make it less so and fun.
Also over the years I've organised charity events, mainly fun runs, to raise much needed funds for local charities. Recently I took part in a charity hike which raised 2K for a local hospice.
My husband says I'm very patient and I have a lot of perseverance when solving issues. I'm very organised and love organising trips away for my girlfriends, making sure they have fun and are looked after. The Christmas Eve get-together is a special one for me and has been going for more than 30 years.
I feel I can adapt to different situations. I'm practical and very domesticated and love cooking. I bake a good Victoria sponge! I've been told.
A bit about me:
I have a beautiful family and am blessed with two gorgeous grandchildren with another one on the way. I'd love my grandchildren to know and remember me as the adventurous Nonna. I have a fantastic group of friends that are very dear to me and have been a part of my life for a long time. Also I must not forget the other love of my life - Bertie my camper van!
Other Interests:
Reading
Walking
Music
Keep fit
Yoga
I appreciate the outdoors and nature.
Love animals.

What else ...
Right now organising my travel plans for this trip. I'm extremely excited to be helping and staying with some lovely hosts in Africa and Asia. Both are very special to me. Africa has been a part of my life growing up visiting my father whilst he worked in Uganda for over 25 years. I have such special memories -seeing him construct a safari lodge in the Queen Elizabeth Nation Park and a Tree House in the bush - amazing!
