Description
Hiya! We're from Tasmania, Australia and have taken a year off to live and work in France, to immerse ourselves in the culture, language and lifestyle. Back home Cameron is an electronics engineer and Anastasia is a human resources project manager at the local University. We've renovated our own home, we're keen gardeners and are looking to learn more hands on skills. We both have working holiday visas for France , Australian drivers licences, and LOTS of enthusiasm to help with projects!

We are both looking to immerse ourselves in the French language. We are fluent English speakers, Anastasia has a degree in Indonesian and has experience tutoring languages, and would love to help learners of English or Indonesian.

Anastasia - I'm an efficient, organised, practical problem solver with clear communication. I'm a quick learner, hard-worker, diligent and meticulous. During studies I've worked in reception, cleaning offices, picked fruit, deep cleans for deceased estates and organised events. I worked as a tutor for language students, whilst I studied Indonesian and French. I'm a home cook, a very good cleaner, I can garden and am experienced at interior painting. I'm really excited to learn new skills.
Cameron - as an engineer I'm used to solving problems. I'm a calm, hard-worker, and enjoy trying new things and gaining skills. We've done basic house renovations, installed a fireplace, lots of painting, mending walls, putting in doors etc. A focus of this year away, apart from the French language, is learning new skills and knowledge.

What else ...
We're really hoping to immerse ourselves in France, rather than be on the move the whole year. We're from small towns and are used to community being a big part of our lives. We both love being outdoors, reading, music and board games (Anastasia plays a mean Catan). A bit about us: Anastasia - I love art, history and swimming, and am hoping to write a children's book whilst away. Cameron - I really like playing piano, hiking and this year am keen to do more water colouring.
