I’m originally from Brazil but have lived in 5 countries across 3 continents: Brazil, the USA, Spain, Hong Kong and the UK. I’ve been based in England since 2019. I have travelled to more than 50 countries so far. I’m fascinated by other cultures and genuinely love learning about how other people live. As a documentarist, I enjoy listening to people’s stories and sharing them, and I’d describe myself as a real people’s person.

I started volunteering when I was 15, often helping with DIY projects and painting. In my 20s I spent a lot of time backpacking and using couchsurfing, which I still think is one of the best ways to travel and truly experience other cultures. I’m delighted to have found Workaway now, as it feels like a natural continuation of that way of travelling and connecting. I’m outgoing, organised, creative and always happy to help where I can.

Professionally, I’ve worked as a language and media teacher, so I can help with computers, social media, graphic design, photography, video making and editing. I also have experience with reception/hostel work. Around the house I’m comfortable with DIY/painting, cleaning, light gardening and making crafts, and I’d really like to learn more about DIY, decorating, fixing things and gardening in a more practical way.
I’m not a great cook, but I do my best and I can cook simple vegetarian and vegan meals.
I can help hosts and their guests practise English, Spanish and Portuguese, and I’d love the chance to dust off my French (I used to be intermediate, but haven’t practised for about 10 years, so let’s see if it’s still there!).
