Heeey! 🌼 I'm Amelie and I'm working as a social worker in France....when I'm not travelling!
I love my job but I also often need to have some break by travelling.
Going out of job routine and out of city stress is so important!

Travelling means for me cultural exchanges. I'm really interested in learning languages and traditions, tasting new dishes, sharing knowledge and know-how, learning diy... I like to question myself and to learn from others.
So travelling by workaway is such a good plan for meee! I had some stayed as workawayer in Guadeloupe, Morocco, Spain, France and Colombia, it was amazing experiences 🙌

I can say I'm reliable, I like to take part in projects and to help around me. The values of sharing, solidarity, benevolence and non-judgment are really important in my point of view.

It's quite difficult to talk about its own skills 😅

I'm someone curious and interested to learn things. I adapt myself easily, I can follow instructions without problem and also take initiatives. My point is to experiment and live new adventures.

In Guadeloupe, I helped by gardening, painting house, cooking, development of land to build a tipi, taking care of animals (dog, chickens)... and I get such rich times with people! I learnt local crafts, the work of beeswax to sell it to beekeepers, recognize and use some rainforest plants, etc.. so interesting! 💫
In Morocco, I lived with a familly, I was helping kids with french language. In the south of France, I worked in a little farm, taking care of animals. In Colombia, I was helping in a drug withdrawal and rehabilitation center. I was offering arts and crafts workshops for groups of 20 people.

Otherwise, as jobs, I have some experience in maintenance of premises, in sales, in babysitting and in social work, which is my privileged field. I have worked in different places helping homeless people, people into addictions, etc...
