  • Description

Hello! I'm Alessandro, a 35-year-old Italian originally from Bologna, currently on a slow journey through Southeast Asia and somewhere in the middle of a beautiful life transition.

Travel has been a constant thread throughout my adult life. I'm a backpacker at heart — drawn to the kind of trip that takes you off the itinerary and into something real. Over the years I've explored 25+ countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas — from the temples of Japan to the savanna in Tanzania and especially the volcanic landscapes of Iceland (forever in my heart), and now the islands of Southeast Asia. I've travelled mostly independently, embracing the unexpected, and learning far more from the road than I ever could from a guidebook. Every destination has shaped how I see the world, and that curiosity is something I bring with me.

After years of working across Europe in professional services — managing client relationships and collaborating with people from all walks of life — I recently chose to step off the corporate path and build something more intentional: a life with more presence, more meaning, and more real human connection.

What motivates me? Depth. Whether it's a conversation that goes somewhere unexpected, a yoga practice at sunrise, a hike that earns its view, or a recipe that takes all afternoon to get right — I'm drawn to experiences that ask something of me.

I recently completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Koh Phangan, one of the most transformative chapters of my life. Teaching yoga is something I'm actively stepping into, and I'd genuinely love the opportunity to share the practice with guests or a community — whether that's a morning flow or a more structured class. Beyond that, I'm increasingly drawn to permaculture, sustainable farming, and conscious approaches to food and land — topics I'm eager to learn more about hands-on, from people who are already living it. I'm passionate about cooking & food, exploring local markets, trekking, nature, and connecting with people who see travel as a way of learning rather than just collecting stamps.

When it comes to working with others, I'm calm, reliable, and genuinely people-oriented. My background in client management means I'm comfortable in front of people — welcoming guests, anticipating needs, and creating an environment where everyone feels at ease. Although my professional experience comes from a different sector, the skills translate directly: clear communication, composure under pressure, and a genuine care for the people in front of me. I'd be very happy to take on client-facing or hospitality roles where that experience can add real value.

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty — quite the opposite. Whether it's tending a garden, working the land, helping with animals, or taking on whatever physical task needs doing, I show up with energy and without hesitation. There's something deeply grounding about working with the earth, and it's exactly the kind of experience I'm here to embrace.

I speak Italian (native), English (fluent), French (intermediate), German (intermediate) and basic Luxembourgish — and I'm always picking up a few words wherever I land. I wish to learn Spanish besides that few words I speak :)

If you're looking for someone who shows up fully, adapts easily, and leaves things a little better than they found them — I'd love to connect.

  • More details about your skills

    1. People & Hospitality
My professional background is rooted in client management — building relationships, communicating clearly, and making people feel heard and well taken care of. I'm comfortable in front of guests and client, whether that means welcoming arrivals, handling questions, or simply creating a warm atmosphere. I adapt easily to different personalities and cultures.

    2. Languages
Italian (native), English (fluent), happy to exchange more about my fluent languages, but I can also speak some colloquial French, German and basic Luxembourgish.

    3. Yoga
Certified yoga teacher (200-hour RYT, Koh Phangan, 2026). I can lead classes or morning sessions for guests if useful, across a range of levels.

    4. Cooking
Confident home cook with a particular love for Italian and fusion cuisine experience that I bring back with me in my travels — pasta, sauces, slow-cooked dishes. Happy to help in the kitchen, prep meals, or contribute to a communal table.

    5. Organisation & Administration
Years of professional experience in coordination, scheduling, documentation, and working within structured environments. I'm comfortable taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through without needing constant direction.

    6. Physical Work
I'm active, fit, and not afraid of getting my hands dirty — gardening, maintenance, carrying, cleaning. I approach manual tasks with the same focus I bring to everything else. Some construction, plumbing and painting skills that I learned helping maintaining our families country house.

    7. Tech & Digital
Comfortable with standard tools — spreadsheets, email, social media — and quick to learn new platforms if needed.

  • What else ...

I'm a curious person by nature — I read a lot, across topics like philosophy, consciousness, ancient wisdom traditions, and the future of technology. I find that the most interesting conversations usually happen somewhere at the intersection of those worlds.

I have a genuine interest in blockchain and digital finance. I'm into photography, mostly travel and nature.

I meditate regularly and am drawn to spiritual traditions from different cultures, which makes slow travel a natural fit for me. I love visiting temples, attending local ceremonies, and understanding how people relate to the sacred in their everyday lives.

I enjoy playing cards and board games :)
