Latifeh left many impressive works of art at our place. She was easy to be with and got along well with all our employees and other workaways. She was very communicative and creative and dedicated to her art. Nevertheless, she still helped us out in the hotel doing daily chores. This way she chose also to integrate better with the other workaways. It was a pleasure having her at our place! We wish her all the best for her further travels and adventures.

Great volunteers and friends! Audrey and Nathan are an enthusiastic, organized, and hard-working couple. They brought awesome ideas and a proactive attitude to our guest house improvements. They are always welcome back!

I spent around 3 weeks at Claudio's place and enjoyed it a lot. The area is very calm and beautiful with mountains and forests. I shared kitchen and bathroom with other volunteers, but slept in my tent in the woods. The work (around 4-5 hours per day, weekend off) involved preparing wood for winter, cutting grass, painting the house and working in the garden. The schedule was quite flexible and relaxed. I also liked the community with Claudio and other international volunteers very much. We had a lot of fun cooking and hiking together. I am very grateful for the experience and would definitely recommend it!

Brittany was a fantastic guest and helper. Enthusiastic, helpful, has good common sense and is great company. She has good insights and a wonderful sense of humour. Very good with our animals, household tasks, and helping with farm maintenance jobs.

What can I say? The only word that truly fits is THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Henry was an absolute angel at a time when I really needed help. I contacted him almost at the last minute, and from the very first moment he welcomed me with such kindness, patience, and generosity. I instantly felt safe and supported. I stayed at his home for nearly two months, and I honestly feel so lucky to have met him. His place is not only beautiful and perfectly clean, but also full of warmth and good energy. Waking up to those stunning views every day felt like a gift. Beyond everything else, what I’ll cherish the most are the moments we shared — doing yoga together, going for walks, and having endless, meaningful conversations. Those memories will stay with me for a long time. Thank you for everything, Henry. Your kindness truly made a difference in my life. You are a star.

Rosa's WorkAway was exactly as described. Rosa gave us some small tasks to do in the morning, like mopping the floor or keeping the kitchen clean—nothing that took more than an hour of our time. The meals were varied and very good, and if we weren't home to eat, she'd keep some aside. Rosa was always very kind and helpful; she even taught me the basics of macramé, as she's very good at it. The location is also very convenient!

Magical place! Luis has created a fantastic reality, his project is worthy of respect and admiration. The hacienda is always full of young people, and it's wonderful to share travel experiences. Luis assigns everyone a job suited to their abilities, and even when it comes to cooking and cleaning, everyone can do what they like. Cooking with fire was our real challenge (and we took home the reward)!! The dogs are treasures, always looking for cuddles. A wonderful experience, we highly recommend them!

We cannot say enough good things about Josh. Big heart, very positive and considerate life philosophy, always tried to be a supportive influence for others and help in whichever way he could. He spent a total of five months with us and it's quite rare to find someone who is simply willing to roll up their sleeves and support in whichever way is needed. He immediately jumped into the kitchen, then into maintenance and finally in the garden, where he really flourished. Works well alone without much need for guidance whilst also having the capacity to lead. We wish Josh nothing but the best, it was a blessing to have him with us and we will miss him

I spent a month volunteering at the cafe. I really enjoyed my experience meeting many Turkish students, keen to learn English. Altan and his wife Esra were friendly and kind. If you are a person that likes to have a lot of free time, I highly recommend helping out here because for most of the day you have the time to explore all the different areas of Istanbul. Living in Kadikoy as well is also a lot of fun, many cool bars and cafes. Hope to come back one day.

What can I say... this experience was absolutely a gem for both of us. The place, the nature, the food.. but especially the people. You'll be welcomed by Suzanne's Moroccan family that will definitely make you feel like you are at home. I honestly look forward to be back there!

Ben arrived quite suddenly — I think it was only two days from first contact to agreement, and then he showed up two days later. From the very first video call until departure, it was nothing but good vibes. A sudden blessing from the UK. Ben is a very polite guy, yet frank, easygoing, and genuinely pleasant to be around. He was always eager to help with any task, to the point where I sometimes had to remind him to relax and take some rest. At times a bit messy — but that is more than made up for by his positive energy and genuine smile. Thank you so much for these incredibly kind and thoughtful words in your feedback. Reading this truly touched me, and I’m deeply grateful that our time together left such a meaningful impression on you — it certainly did on me as well. It was a real pleasure to have you here and to share everyday life: conversations, tasks, laughter, and quiet moments together. Knowing that you felt welcome, at peace, and truly at home means more to me than I can easily put into words. It makes me very happy to know you experienced this feeling. You were not just a guest, but part of the household. I will always remember the time we shared with warmth and gratitude. You are welcome back anytime, Ben, and I wish you nothing but good things on your path ahead. We stay in touch, thank you!

I have just finished a 3 week stay at this hostel. I had an incredible time in Oaxaca. The staff and other volunteers were very welcoming and made me feel so comfortable. The work is fun, I organised social events and covered reception. I was able to organise social events that aligned with my interests and covering local sites. The manager and one of the receptionists gave me wonderful recommendations for my spare time, my socials and helped me plan my trip forward. The hostel is in a great location and very comfortable. I really felt part of the team and enjoyed my time at the hostel. I would thoroughly recommend volunteering here.

I’m late in writing this review which is ironic because I think about this wonderful place all the time!! Sandra and Blair are fantastic hosts - incredibly generous with sharing their home, cooking delicious food and taking workawayers to see beautiful local places. I would absolutely recommend staying with them and their sweet parakeet Pepino - in fact, I stayed longer than I planned to! The work was really enjoyable and varied - myself and another workawayer did some gardening, some painting, and some paint stripping from furniture that was going to be upcycled, and there was plenty of time off to explore the area and relax with some board games. While I was there they hosted a pot luck and concert in their home which was really special to get to be part of and to meet some of their community (and we spent the afternoon making sushi for it which was a fun experience!). They also took us to see Cathedral Caves and to a local beach to see penguins so we had a really good introduction to the area (which is a real gem). It’s easy to walk from the house to the beach where we saw sea lions. The gallery and garden itself are amazing - creativity just spills out of every corner, so if you’re someone who enjoys art and quirky ideas you’ll love it. And the accommodation is lovely too - I slept in a beautiful studio and the other workawayer slept in a house bus. If you enjoy getting to know your hosts, I’d really recommend staying with Sandra and Blair - you’ll have great conversations, laugh a lot, learn about living in a place like Papatowai and enjoy good food and company throughout your stay. Thanks so much Blair and Sandra for the brilliant time! Maybe I’ll be back one day ☺️

I had the opportunity to spend two weeks in this wonderful fairy-tale castle and was completely satisfied. I have done many workaways, and this one is definitely one of the best. During my stay, a large part of the rooms was being renovated, so most of the activities were related to renovation, such as painting, plastering, or assisting the professional craftsmen. Additionally, there was a lot of grass to mow in the large garden, and I chopped wood for the fireplace. The castle is located in a small village surrounded by other beautiful historic buildings, such as a monastery and a city park. In the summer, the region is very suitable for swimming. Several lakes are within walking distance. I was provided with my own very clean and comfortable room, and the meals, which I could prepare myself with food from the kitchen or eat together with the hosts, were excellent.

Viktor, Jana and their family were such a delight to host! They were respectful of our house, very responsible and had amazing skills and work ethic to help us with our house projects. They followed our suggestions for projects and often went above and beyond what we asked helping us realize new potentials for our land project. They were also very fun to hang out with and knew how to give us our space as a family.

I've spent a week in this English School in Kampong Kdei. It was a pleasure to teach the group of bright, friendly, and well-behaved students from a rural neighbourhood. Ms. Sokear, the founder of the school, and his teachers do a great job giving unprivileged children a chance for better language education. Additionally, I met a group of great people who volunteered at the same time. I keep my fingers crossed for that initiative and will try to support it in the future!
