Description
Kuranda Rainforest property. 5 minutes drive to the Barron Falls and 5 minutes from Kuranda township (an alternative village with markets and great cafes). The area is close to beautiful swimming holes, national parks and surrounded by beautiful rainforest. i live on an acre in a quiet area half rainforest and half gardens. Really peaceful and beautiful. I have 4 rescue parrots and 2 inside dogs and chickens. I'm pretty creative but also pretty busy, I work and study. I'm an artist and love music and adventures in national parks. Spare time includes exploring waterfalls and my pretty secret beautiful nature spots which I'm happy to share. Looking for individuals who can help in my garden and in the house. Any handy man type skills highly regarded. I eat pretty healthy and exercise regularly. Kuranda is such a cool community, full of artists, musicians and creatives. Fun markets and great cafes.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I've lived in Far North Queensland for over 20 years and I'm a bit of an adventurer so happy to show you around when I have time. I also work fulltime (2 days from home) and study, so I'm pretty busy but friendly. Kuranda is a great place to be. Probably no couples as I have bunk beds (my sons rooms will be used when they are with their dad). Looking for individuals who have maintenance skills and gardening experience. Happy with mature individuals.

Help
Workawayers will help with garden maintenance and assistance with inside projects and house projects, painting etc. I'm a prescatarian so don't eat meat but happy to cook fish etc.

Accommodation
Bunk bed accommodation. You'll have access to your own room but it's a bunk bed and just ask that you respect the space as it's my sons room. Bedding will be provided. Own car is needed as there is limited public transport.

What else ...
I've got chickens, 4 rescue parrots and 2 inside dogs. Need to be animal friendly. When I'm working from home I just need quiet in my office space. Time off - so much to explore, markets, waterfalls, national parks, swimming holes etc. I'm pretty busy but artistic and friendly.
