Hi all my name is Paul and and my better half is Emma. In 2016 we bought a derelict little Chateau in Normandy and have been restoring the house and gardens. We opened for b n b last year as well as restoring and filming for U.K. channel 4 escape to the chateau diy.
Last years projects included , restoring the balconies in the front of the house, painting, wallpapering and general decorating. We restored the first half of the lake and garden too.
This year the plan is to continue with our west Wong restoration so general jobs like painting, clearing up, wall papering.
The other part of the lake and garden needs clearing so help with that as well as outdoor tasks. Helping to clean the house and help setting up breakfasts and clearing away. We would also ask the workawayers not to be camera shy as filming is ongoing.
What we can offer you is a lovely enviroment with great company. My better half speaks both French and English fluently, myself not so much French.Obviously we can feed you and give you a lovely room to stay in and perhaps learn new skills. you will also get the satisfaction knowing you have helped restore this beautiful house. We have an indoor/outdoor heated pool and lounging area to relax on days off. And we feel we are also jolly good company. We also take trips out at weekends to the antique markets and seaside.
The grounds extend to about 3.5 hectares or 8.5 acres with lovely places to discover and lots of wildlife. the place is a very quiet little haven away from modern day stress and strains,at Montvason you can almost go back in time.
