Hello! My name is Thivanka, and people call me Bunchy.
I am running a jungle Hostel - a utopia here within the mangroves of Unawatuna, just 2km way from the beach. We welcome volunteers from all over the globe to come and enjoy our home. You will have an opportunity to:
In exchange for your skills we will provide 1 Sinhala meals per day (breakfast) and give you a discounted volunteer price for alcoholic drinks and food. We provided shared accommodations for volunteers and have outdoor bathroom facilities.
We are seeking volunteers who can help with:

Our hostel is a hub of backpackers and locals alike. You will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the tight-knit community here in Unawatuna, learn about Sinhala culture and connect with travelers from all around the world. Learn Sri Lankan cuisine secrets from our local chefs, take advantage of our discounted surf-board hire at the beach and much more!
Help
We are looking for a volunteers who have skills yoga teaching, surf instructing and general all round helpers, as from right now.
We are also looking for graffiti artists,
painters, photo/videographers graphic designers
generally handy volunteers to come and help us at one of the leading hostels in Unawatuna.
Tasks include making rooms, social media management, running daily yoga classes, painting murals, gardening, photography and videography, and the most important task of all, social hosting with guest to get everybody enjoying our happy jungle vibe. If you have any other unique skills you could bring to the hostel, we would love to hear about them!

You will stay for free. Breakfast and dinner (Sri Lankan cuisine, which has been rated very highly will be provided free of charge. You will have access to all the activities that happen here and really enjoy Unawatuna with fellow travelers.

learn to cook Sri Lankan food, share a drink and a game of Carrom with the local tuk-tuk drivers or just soak up the sun and jungle vibes here in the hostel - this is truly one of the most unique hostel experiences in all of Asia!

I really recommend this place for everybody.
The astmosphere was relaxed fun and crazy all at the same time :)
I helped by cleaning, doing washing, clearing around the campsite, conducting yoga classes and generally helping when required.
