Description
Hello, we ae a family of 4 offering a self contained room + bathroom in a house with a pool at Deagon. The train station is a 700m walk away. We are also in walking distance to the ocean front (not surf beaches but hire of kitesurfing gear / kayaks etc available), several bars and restaurants. We enjoyed having Japanese exchange students staying with us last year. In the family are my husband and I and two teenage kids.

All of us are into many creative pursuits including music and art. You are welcome to join us our family for meals and activities that various family members are involved in while you are here, including going to church, local music 'jam night', women's book club, trivia night with workmates. We can have a bbq down at the waterfront, and depending on dates do a day trip to the sunshine coast and / or go camping for a night or 2.

Help
We would like help with painting the underneath of some decking boards and and nailing them. The deck is less than a metre above ground and the joists are in good condition. I (Miranda) do most of it and will join you if our hours line up. Will provide food. If you are interested in doing more work we could negotiate a fair exchange, eg driving you to a place of interest for a day or buying you a voucher for a place of interest. Although no childcare is required, we would prefer someone who has a working with children check for an Australian state or at least a police check.

A long time ago I volunteered with a 'conversation club' at uni for people to practice their english. Personally I've been trying to teach myself French through free resources and if you are french speaking may hurt your ears while trying it out! -
Accommodation
Self contained bedroom & bathroom that are detached with private entrance. There is a king bed and wardrobe.
Self serve breakfast and lunch. We can cook most dinners but would love to have you cook 1-2 meals per week. We eat vegetarian meals at least 2 nights per week. If you are vegetarian we are happy to do more vegetarian meals. -

We also have bikes that you can borrow to explore the area.
