    Description

We offer the aupair solution, including monthly pocket money!
We only accept people for a minimum of 4 months!
More references are available upon request ;)

We’re looking for our 15th wonderful au pair. Could it be you? 🌸
We welcome only girls who have a strong level of English and who are ready to become part of our family and share this incredible journey with us. Saying goodbye to each au pair is always emotional, as each one takes a little piece of our hearts when they leave.

Hosting au pairs has been our way of staying open to the world 🌍 — connecting with different cultures and blending them into our family’s daily life. This is the philosophy behind how we host: mutual learning, cultural exchange, and shared experiences. But also a lot of help for our family!

    OUR FAMILY
We’re Francesca, Marco, Anita, Demetra, and Arturo! Our family also includes a friendly medium-sized dog, Leh 🐕, and two adorable cats, Mina and Zar 🐈.

Francesca’s own experience as a young adult shaped how we welcome au pairs today. At 18, she spent time in Ireland working at a horse-riding centre under conditions similar to being an au pair — it was a life-changing adventure! So we understand how exciting (and sometimes challenging) this experience can be, and we’ll do our best to support you.

We’re also part of a friendly network of host families in the area 🤝 — you’ll easily meet other au pairs and make new friends. It’s a lovely way to share experiences and build your social circle here.

Francesca works as a researcher at the University of Venice, focusing on migration and human rights, while Marco is an engineer at the Municipality of Venice.

💕 A little about the kids
Our children — Anita (9 in 06/26), Demetra (6 in 10/26), and Arturo (4 in 10/26) — grew up with au pairs, so they’re used to English-speaking company. We always speak English at home when the au pair is around so everyone feels included.
Anita is energetic and gives her all to everything she does. She loves learning, sports, board games, crafts, reading, LEGO, and theatre shows. She’s very good at school and practices gymnastics at a competitive level.
Demetra is sweet and endlessly curious. She adores LEGO, dolls, books, crafts, and imaginative play. She is a leader: she can make friends everywhere and convince them to do whatever she wants!
Arturo loves copying his big sisters and gets excited about whatever they’re into — especially Demetra! He has a passion for animals 🐴 (like everyone in the family, except Marco 😄).

With three lively kids, our home is full of energy, laughter, and movement 🎈 — there’s always something going on!
Life can be quite busy at times, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys being around children and feels comfortable in a dynamic family environment.

    WHERE WE LIVE
🌄 We’re in a peaceful area surrounded by both nature and culture. Within 30–40 minutes, you can reach Venice, Padua, or Treviso, but around us, there are fields and nature.
We’re also about 1h15 from the mountains (the Dolomites) and 40 minutes from the seaside — perfect for weekend adventures!
Venice is very well connected to the rest of Italy, so it’s easy to travel and explore other cities too.

We’ll be happy to share our knowledge of Venice, the countryside, the Dolomites, and Italian culture with you.

    OUR DAILY ROUTINE
    🕰️ Our daily routine

Marco commutes daily to the office in Mestre, while Francesca splits her time between working from home and at the university.
The kids have school from around 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. After school, Anita has gymnastics three times a week, Demetra once a week, and Arturo attends a music class once a week.

We love the outdoors 🌿 and encourage spending as much time in nature as possible — we truly believe that a connection with the natural world is an important part of growing up.

At 7:00 pm, we all come together to prepare dinner — it’s a team effort! Someone cooks, someone sets the table, someone feeds our lovely pets, and we’d love for you to join in. It’s a fun way to wind down and share the day together.

We don’t expect you to do general housework. However, we’d appreciate a helping hand after breakfast (clearing the table, tidying the kitchen, loading/unloading the dishwasher) and sharing some light communal tasks after dinner.
We also have a housekeeper twice a week, so your focus will only be on keeping your own room tidy and cosy.

    ADDITIONAL INFO
We follow a vegetarian diet and focus on healthy, balanced meals.
Our lifestyle reflects our commitment to sustainability: we recycle, bike, limit online shopping, and support local businesses.

We’ll sign an au pair contract together before you arrive, so that everything is transparent and agreed on: responsibilities, schedule, pocket money, and days off.

If you’re looking for a kind, curious, and lively family who will welcome you with open arms and help you discover the best of Italian life — we’d love to hear from you! 💛

    Help

We’re looking for a motivated, caring, and responsible au pair to join our family. With three children, our days are quite lively, and your help will really make a difference in our daily life.

From your arrival until the end of June, you’ll mainly look after Demetra and Arturo, and sometimes Anita, after school.
Your main responsibility will be picking up the kids after school and spending time with them until around 7:00 pm.

During the summer months, the routine will change slightly. In July, we usually move to the seaside 🌊, where the kids attend summer camps and you’ll help us with them during the afternoons. After that, we often spend some time in the mountains 🏔️, with a similar rhythm focused on outdoor life and shared activities.

Creativity is very important to us — we love outdoor play, crafts, reading, and imaginative games. Screens are not allowed during playtime (no cartoons, iPads, or mobile phones).

Every two weeks, we’ll ask for one evening of babysitting. Weekends are generally free.
Being confident on a bike is essential, as cycling is part of our daily routine.

In return, we offer €90 pocket money per week, a warm and respectful family environment, and a meaningful cultural exchange experience 🇮🇹.

📄 Before you arrive, we’ll sign a clear au pair contract so that responsibilities, working hours, pocket money, and days off are transparent and agreed on by both sides.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

🏡 We live in a detached house in the Venetian countryside, surrounded by nature 🌳. The area is calm, family-friendly, and ideal for someone who enjoys a peaceful environment.
We don’t live in the city centre — so if you’re looking for nightlife or city buzz, this might not be the right fit.
But if you love nature, local life, and the chance to experience authentic Italian culture while still being close to Venice, you’ll feel perfectly at home here.
Our house has a beautiful garden where we grow fruits and vegetables 🍅🥕.
It’s very well connected — the bus stop is just 50 metres away, Venice is 30–40 minutes by bus, and Mestre is 15–20 minutes away. The nearest town is 5 minutes by bus or 10 minutes by bike 🚲.

You’ll have your own bedroom, and while the bathroom is shared, there are three bathrooms in the house, so there’s plenty of space for everyone.

We care deeply about the environment 🌍 — we recycle, cycle instead of driving, limit online shopping, and buy from local shops whenever possible.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The area where we live is plenty of cities to visit, museums, cultural and sports events reachable in 10-30-40' it depends. However, it offers also a natural side to enjoy.
Our house is 50 meters far from the bus station. Venice is very well connected with the rest of Italy, so it's easy to visit many other Italian cities on a weekend.
