    Description

We are Francesca, Marco, and Anita, our little daughter 2 years old. We also have a cute medium size dog called Leh, and two cats, Mina and Zar. Francesca is a PhD student in Human Rights and Marco an engineer, Anita attends a nursery school which is very close to our house (7' by bike). Anita is bilingual because she's been attending an English nursery since when she was 19 months old, and an Australian au pair spent six months with us: we'd like to keep her bilingual. She can also understand some Greek because we spent six months in Greece!
Francesca holds a C1 level and Marco a B2 of English.

We already had experience both with au pair and babysitters, and they are available to talk to you about our family and whatever you'd like to know before considering spending some time with us- just drop us a message and we'll arrange it!

Anita is very active, she loves to listen to music, to dance, to draw and to read books, as well as to go to the playground.

We live in a detached house in the countryside of Venice, that is reachable by bus in 30'. We have a beautiful garden where we try to cultivate some vegetable and fruits.
The closest village where you can find bars, bakeries and pubs is 5' distant by bus (10' by bike), the distance from Mestre (bigger city) is 15' -20' by bus, it depends where you want to go. We are very close to a green park as well as lovely promenades.

Our daily routine is Marco going every weekday to the office in a close village while usually, Francesca works home-based. Sometimes Francesca has to go to Padua to the University, depending on the period. Anita is at the kindergarten from 8.30 to 4, and usually, the baby sitter goes to pick her up, but sometimes we have a grandmother to pick her up.

We are two parents tired but also active: we love to go hiking in the mountain, exploring and travelling around the world. Marco's sport is climbing, while Francesca attends a gym. We like spending time with friends (now mostly families!)

We will ask you to pick Anita up at 4 a few days a week (2-3-4) and spend a couple of hours with her until we are home. The nursery is 7' far from home by bike and approximately the same by bus. The nursery will close for Christmas break on the 23rd of December so, from the 27th of December we will need you to look after Anita around 4 hours a day. We will provide you with a monthly public transports ticket, so it will be easy for you to move.

Sometimes we could ask you to babysit Anita during the night. The average working hours will be 20hrs/week never more than 25hrs/week (very rare, only when the school is closed!).

    Accommodation

You'll have your bedroom and bathroom.
For a general well-living, we need you to keep your bedroom and bathroom tidy, to help to set and clear the table and load the dishwasher during the meals (if you are keen to cook, you are welcome!).
We cook, but we are very easygoing with food, we like simple things and sometimes going out for dinner. Francesca's vegetarian, and we usually don't eat meat at home. Despite this, you can cook meat if you like!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The area where we live is plenty of cities to visit, museums, cultural and sports events reachable in 10-30-40' it depends. However, it offers also a natural side to enjoy.
Our house is 50 meters far from the bus station. Venice is very well connected with the rest of Italy, so it's easy to visit many other Italian cities on a weekend.
