70 Acre off-grid horse property with 4 horses, 2 dogs and a cat. It's a quiet life filled with non-stop chores and animal joy! Always a new challenge and something to learn. Nothing being produced for sale just hay for the horses.

Wood splitting and brush clearing are meditative and give a person time to think or a way to not think and just be busy. Always a sense of accomplishment when the pile of wood gets smaller and the wood sheds get filled. I call it my farm fitness program.
Help
I am looking for help on my farm. There is cut wood that I need assistance splitting and stacking for winter as well as brush clearing to be done. The help is all physical and outside. The temperatures range from 20-33 degrees celsius. The farm is at 3400 feet in elevation so the evenings cool off and are very pleasant.

2 bedroom log cabin and a one room cabin for guests. Double beds with linens and pillows in both. 2 bedroom cabin has dishes and a propane cook top as well as an attached washroom with a toilet and sink. Propane fridge for use in the garden shed next door to the cabin for safety so there aren't any propane fumes in the cabin. The property is off-grid without electricity but there is wifi, on a limited basis. There is a big horse trough for taking an outdoor bath or a shower in the washroom with cold water (sorry, but the hot water tank just broke). Picnic table, hammock, bbq and yard area. 25 acre fields are in hay and the other 45 acres are for grazing. Meals can be done separately or I can cook depending on preferences. A cold beer, nice glass of wine or evening cocktail enjoyed after the success of the day is considered civilized and welcome. Star gazing at night is incredible from the hammock or lying on the porch bed.
What else ...
The off-grid farm is hidden from the road by trees and sits adjacent to a provincial park. There are hieroglyphs on the rock faces of the mountains the property is adjacent to and you hear the sound of the creek and waterfall all day long. Beavers and ducks are in the creek, deer and bear are out foraging in the hay fields. 4 horses graze the paddocks surrounding the house and cabins, very friendly guys that are curious about what you are up to and like to follow you around the property. 2 big dogs with big barks keep the property alerted to incomers and will happily eat anything you leave anywhere with pleasure. Town is 30 kms away and has all the basics. The surrounding area hosts farms and ranches, so there are lots of fresh vegetables and cattle walking up and down the road. A short 1 hour drive away is Pavilion Lake for a swim or some fishing. The farm is a quiet place full of mother nature and wildlife. No FIRES of any kind are permitted as it is wildfire season, no smoking and no drugs are allowed.
