The Help We Need (Approx. 2-5 hours a day, 5 days a week)

We are looking for someone who enjoys getting their hands dirty and is not afraid of the tropical humidity! Your main tasks will be focused on garden maintenance, but if you have a particular interest or skill set we are very open to discussing different options:

Weeding and Mulching: Keeping the rainforest from reclaiming the garden beds!

General Gardening: Pruning, planting, and tending to the tropical fruit trees, vegetable patch and flower beds.

Tidying and Odd tasks: Helping keep the property neat, sweeping paths, and general house-hold tasks as needed.

Pet & Child Friendly: You must genuinely like and be comfortable around children and our friendly dog.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    Private, Self-Contained Cabin
Enjoy your own space in a cozy, separate self-contained cabin on the property. It includes a private bathroom, tv, internet and kitchenette, giving you full independence and a relaxing retreat.

Nestled on 5acres, with a rainforest background, our home is a 10 minute walk to the Barron River and 7 minute drive from kuranda village.

Kuranda is a small, spread-out community and reliable public transport is limited. You must have your own car (or van/motorbike) to make the most of your days off and travel to and from the village easily.

As we are a busy family, we are not able to provide prepared meals. We are happy to discuss different options, including reduced hours in exchange for accommodation only; providing food to prepare your own meals; or if you are particularly culinarily inclined, providing food that you could prepare as part of your time exchange.
