Description
My name is Bharat and I am from the village of Varsingpur in south Rajasthan. I live here with my wife and have been headmaster at the local school since 2008. We have a 120 students, ranging from 5 to 13 years old, and 9 teachers.
We love to host travellers who can help our students improve their English reading, writing and speaking skills. At same time, we give those who stay with us the freedom to pursue any other educational or extracurricular programs which they believe will benefit the students. This could be music, sport or anything imaginable!
I have worked with foreign travellers since 2001 - first as a guide and interpreter to ecotourist in the surrounding rural areas and now as a host. Staying at the school will give you the opportunity to have a genuine impact on their education and perspective of the wider world. Whilst here you will also experience the realities and joys of village life in India.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Beyond the opportunity to support the children’s development, travellers will be exposed to a different side of India. One that’s is away from the chaos of its cities and is instead surrounded by the nature-world and indigenous wildlife. As part of the village community, you see the simplicity and joy of rural Indian life.

In their freetime, travellers can walk around the village, visting neughbouring towns and sights, and enjoy the peacefulness of the area.
