Description
I'm Silvana, I live in Villafranca d'Asti with my husband Franco and one of my two sons. My son Filippo is a medical student at the university in Turin. Villafranca d'Asti is a small village of 3.000 people in the North West of Italy, in Piedmont, in the hilly area near Asti and 40 km far from Turin that was the first capital of the united Italy in 1861. Asti is a very interesting medioeval town in the center of Monferrato hills, known for the white wines Moscato and Asti Spumante . We are also close to the Langhe Hills and to the town of Alba, very known for white truffle and wine. We are connected to these cities by train. We live in a single family home with garden and vegetable garden. There is also a big terrace to relax. We love dancing, talking, singing, relaxing, traveling, painting, .... We love descovering other cultures and always learn something new. Everyone is welcome!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
The cities around our house are full of proposals regarding food, drink, architecture, art, fun.
In our area there is the possibility to go trekking, biking, descover small villages and old small romanesque churches ( we are all long the "via francigena", the ancient pilgrims route) on the top of the hills.
I can share my experience about art, architecture, dance, italian language and not only; I speak italian, english, french and a little bit german.
We are happy to host people from the world to understand and know different cultures.
