    Description

We are one of the newer eco-communities in Denmark. We are located in the middle of Zealand, 10 kilometers outside Ringsted towards Roskilde. In October 2005 our common house was built and since then 20 houses and a lot of adults, children and animals have been added. In Halingelille, we have both calmed down and are still on our way. We develop ourselves and the village in several sustainable directions – within construction, waste, food and vegetable production as well as within the social dimension that forms our core.

We have in common that we want to live and live sustainably and organically. We have different starting points, but thrive in a community where we are open and try to accept each other's different ways of thinking and acting – including an inclusive approach to spirituality, without uniting around a particular spiritual direction.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Workawayers have the opportunity to connect with our community. We engage in communal meals, sauna sessions, yoga classes, and even friendly football games. These interactions foster connections and shared experiences.

As hosts, we share insights into sustainable living, ecological practices, and permaculture principles. Workawayers can learn about waste sorting, composting, water conservation, and energy-saving techniques.
We maintain openness to the surrounding area, both locally and globally. By hosting people from different cultures, we hope to broaden our perspectives and spread the ecovillage lifestyle and ideas.

Through this exchange, we aim to deepen connections, learn from diverse backgrounds, and collectively contribute to a more harmonious world 🌿🌎
