    Hey Workawayers !!

I'm Dorian, now farmer of medicinal plant in a very green area of France, father of my little girl Eléana, living with a beautiful woman called Ophélie, and interested in healthy lifestyle, community building and permaculture. In the past I have been traveling as a workawayer in Latine America, contributing to many different projects there. Then I have been hosting in my last place in Ile de Ré and have a great time here welcoming many people in this last project.

I moved in the countryside with my family to become producer of medicinal plant two years ago. Now we are installed and we put the first milestone of the project so we are able to welcome travelers again ! We have 6 hectares of land and the farm is connected to a very wide forest and two other organic farm run by our neighbor family so it's like a small village and we see each other all each days, exchanging time, help, ideas, food.. There is always something to do and it is very diverse : some mushroom to hunt, some three to plant, an animal to care about, something to fix, a hands to give, a trip to make to a local venue... There is nothing to be bored and help is more than welcome to build our little oasis, step by step.

We leave and work at the farm so we are most of the time present at the place and you would never be left alone. . There is numerous wild animals and plant you can observe, specially at down or dust : howls, frog, deer, snake, squirrels,...

My professional activities is to grow medicinal and aromatic plant and transform them into herbal tea and other products. I cultivate the plant in the surrounding of the house so you can easily observe and connect with my activity if you want to know more about growing and processing medical plant.

Ophélie is a seamstress and clothing designer and is also working at our place. She is also happy to share her knowledge.

We try to have a good diet made of organic and local grown product, even if we are not strict on anything we don't eat processed food or very sugary things. So we are happy to share recipe of low sugar cake, how to process vegetable for the winter and else ( we are still learning).
To resume with we are happy to share what we know about life and learn from others.

This region is very low populated but there is always something to do in the villages around : concert, local festival, outdoor activities, farmer market, especially in the summer season.

We would like some help to look after our little girl this summer to have more time to work on the farm and for her to meet new culture and vibrations. She is 3 years old, sociable, quite autonomous ( toilet trained, she know how to dress up by herself etc...) but she need company because she doesn't like to play alone very long. So it would be nice to have someone to propose some activities to her in the morning like walking in the forest, play or make creative stuff. We are offering an education based and the nordic culture, that's to say without any kind of punishment ( in opposition of the French culture of education that is kinda chocking).

We would like also some help in the farm to improve the garden, veggie patch, buildings, and create some art around the house.

We can offer you a room in the house or a caravan to have your own space.

Concerning the food, some of the meal will be prepared and shared all together and for other meals we will let you use the kitchen on your own. We can discuss that together before you arrive, our schedule evolve with each season as we live connected to the solar circle. We will provide you with fresh vegetable, eggs and grains ( rice, pasta, lentils,... ) all organic. For the rest of the food you would need ( diary, meat/fish, snacks...) you have to buy your own in the market or supermarket.

We have 3 cats and 1 dog, all sterilized. My dog, Oscar, is a British Setter. He is a bit fearful at first, so he will bark at someone he doesn't know but it is not dangerous at all. We are still learning how he react with other dog. We know that for female there is not problem. With male it depends... We love our 3 cats very much but you probably won't see them very often as they lives in the private area of our house and spent lot of time in the forest
