    Description

    Hello everyone,
We are an Italian-English couple living in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Ours is an old farmhouse surrounded by a large garden. We're located halfway between Florence and Siena, which are easily accessible by train or bus. A 15-minute drive away is San Gimignano, whose medieval towers can be seen from the house. The area offers the opportunity to explore the artistic and cultural heritage of the Middle Ages and the Italian Renaissance, and also offers various social opportunities, including cinema, theater, music, and more.
My plan is to revive my small organic vegetable garden, which is currently neglected and in maintaining and restoring some areas of the garden.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Workawayers will participate in family life by sharing meals and free time with us. We'll be happy to introduce them to the community of our friends and young people who live and work in our area. We love long walks and would be happy if they'd like to join us and explore the beauty of the area.
If anyone is interested, they can learn some basic beekeeping knowledge as I also have a small bee farm.
We're available to teach Italian and are interested in all other cultures.

  • Help

    Help

The help I need is primarily in preparing the soil for planting vegetables, mowing the grass and trimming the bushes, and occasionally helping out with small maintenance tasks around the house. We will work together and are available to share our experience.

    Accommodation

The workawayer will have a bedroom in the house at their disposal. The bathroom is adjacent to the room.
We will share meals, but with some flexibility in meal times. Our cuisine is primarily Mediterranean, but we also enjoy exploring other cuisines. We eat both meat and fish, but mostly plant-based. Guests will also have the opportunity to prepare their own dishes if they wish.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The workawayers can easily visit Florence, Siena, Pisa, and other interesting places in Tuscany.
There is no public transport directly from the house but we or other neighbours can easily offer lifts to the nearest station or elsewhere. Furthermore, if they enjoy hiking, there are many trails directly from the house.
We have a cat who lives both in and outside the house.
