    Description

    🌱 Who We Are
    We’re Andre (30, chef from Dublin) and Helios (organizer & builder). Together we are taking care of a private seaside home & garden in Apulia, South Italy.

    🌿 What We’re Doing Now
    • Cleaning & regenerating abandoned land.
    • Gardening & permaculture (vegetables, fruit trees, olive care)
    • Taking care of sheep 🐑 & chickens 🐓and goose’s 🪿 .
    • Organizing outdoor spaces & fences.
    • Light household help (tidying common areas, simple maintenance).



    🛠️ How You Can Help
    • Cleaning and tidying outdoor spaces.
    • Gardening and helping in the vegetable patch or with olive trees.
    • Carrying light materials like soil, sand, or wood (we do the technical/heavy work).
    • Feeding animals and helping with their spaces.
    • Keeping shared areas clean and watering plants in hot weather.

    (No dangerous tools are required — we only ask for light and safe help.)



    🍇 Seasonal Household Activities
    • Aug–Oct → grape harvest (for family use) & making simple house wine 🍷;
    • Oct–Dec → olive harvest & pressing small-batch olive oil 🌿
    • Jan → caring for sheep, occasional cheesemaking 🧀;
    • Mar → garden help, pruning, and preparing new planting areas;
    • Summer → enjoying the seaside & occasional trips to sea grottos 🌊.


    🤝 What We’re Looking For
    Volunteers who are:
    • Happy to help with gardening & animals;
    • Flexible and creative;
    • Respectful of simple, nature-based living;



    ✨ What We Offer
    • Learning about permaculture, gardening, olive trees, and simple home cheesemaking;
    • Living close to the sea in a peaceful natural environment;
    • Shared meals, good company, and being part of a household project from the start;



    👉 Important: This is a private household project only, with no connection to guest or tourism activities. All produce (oil, wine, cheese, etc.) is only for private use.

    • Surrounded by amazing natural spots like:

    • We have a car, so little trips to explore the area together are possible 🚗;

    • Helping us clean and tidy up outdoor spaces, gardening, and assisting with simple projects in our private garden (for example, carrying soil, sand, or wood).
    • We don’t ask you to use dangerous tools – just light and safe help, while we take care of the technical parts.

    🏡 Accommodation
    • Volunteers can stay in a camper, tent, or shared common room with bathroom (note: hot water not always available).
    • The space has a gas kitchenette, fridge, and regular mattress.
    • Simple living close to nature – please note the bathroom door does not close perfectly.



    🍽️ Food
    • We provide ingredients for breakfast (often from the garden).
    • After the day’s activities, we enjoy a shared evening meal together (around 7 p.m.).
    • Lunch is on your own – the supermarket and laundry shop are 15 minutes away on foot.
    • For active/proactive volunteers, we’re often happy to share snacks or a light lunch too 😉.
    • Fireplace heating is available; wood is free, but we may ask for a little help collecting it from the forest.



    🧺 Practical Info
    • Days off: usually 1–2 depending on the season. We kindly ask that volunteers help keep their space and shared areas tidy.
    • Towels & bedsheets: we wash these about every 2 weeks.
    • Personal laundry: nearby washing machines (€4 for 10kg / €7 for 16kg).
