    Description

We are a family of six - Alay (9), Leo (13.5), Liam (15), Liri (17), Gill & Roy (both 53 years young). Plus Hailey the dog.

Moved to Bulgaria last July from Israel.

Roy in an entrepreneur and handyman and Gill a Couple Therapist and Longing Curator (She is an amazing mother as well). We both invented the "Our Mondays" method for relationships, and just wrote a book about it...

Living in this unique and special guest-house in Ganchovets, near the beautiful city of Veliko Tarnovo, on this beautiful big land. Doing small event, parties, fires and other events on the land.

Want to open a learning lab in our place - starting May. A dream Project.

    About the Project:
We are looking for a unique volunteer to join our learning lab. Our lab will be a hands-on, project-based environment where we combine craftsmanship, logic, and life skills. While we handle the engineering, carpentry, and business side of things, we are missing a vital piece of the puzzle: the connection to the earth.

What we are looking for (The "Must-Haves"):
We aren't just looking for a general helper; we need someone with a solid background in agriculture. We are looking for an expert (or a very experienced enthusiast) in organic/bio-organic farming and diverse crop cultivation. You will be the lead on our agricultural projects, helping us integrate sustainable growing practices into our learning lab.

    The "Plus" Factor:
Are you a musician? That’s a huge bonus! We value creativity and believe that music and rhythm are essential parts of a well-rounded life. A volunteer who can balance a day in the field with a musical session in the evening would be the perfect fit for our family and community atmosphere.

    What you’ll do:

Lead and manage our organic garden and agricultural experiments.

Work alongside us in the learning lab, sharing your knowledge of nature and sustainability.

Collaborate on various "maker" projects, from wood construction to logical problem-solving.

Contribute to the creative and musical energy of our home.

    The Experience:
This is an opportunity to take full ownership of the agricultural domain within a structured, intellectual, and highly creative environment. You’ll live in a beautiful rural setting, work with professional tools and minds, and help us complete the vision of a truly holistic learning lab.

Joining our family is more than just a volunteer gig; it’s an invitation into a vibrant, multi-generational lifestyle where curiosity and creativity are the main drivers. Here is what you can expect to experience and learn:

    A Dynamic Family Environment:
You will be living with us and our four active children (ages 9 to 17). Our home is a constant hub of energy, learning, and projects. Whether it's through our homeschooling initiatives or our evening gatherings, you will be part of a family that values open dialogue and shared growth.

    Skills Beyond the Garden:
While you lead the agriculture, you can learn from us! We can dive into carpentry and professional woodworking, discuss business efficiency and logic, or master advanced Excel. We believe in a true exchange of expertise.

    Culinary Delights:
If you love good food, you’ve come to the right place. Our kitchen is diverse and full of flavor—from our famous homemade hummus to a wide range of international and local dishes. We love sharing meals and exploring new recipes together.

    Social & Physical Fun:
Life here isn't all work. Directly across from us, there’s a Table-Tennis table that’s always ready for a match. We love staying active, and you’re welcome to join us for:

Hikes and Trips: Exploring the beautiful surrounding nature.

Dance & Music: Spontaneous dance sessions and musical evenings.

Campfires: Long nights by the fire, sharing stories under the stars.

    Language & Culture:
You’ll get a front-row seat to life in a rural Bulgarian village, experiencing the local pace of life while being part of an international, English-speaking household that bridges different worlds.

We are looking for a lead volunteer to take full responsibility for our agricultural domain. Currently, our land is a beautiful but wild canvas. It is lush and full of life, featuring established walnut and sour cherry trees, as well as a wide variety of flowers and shrubs that have grown freely.

Your primary role will be to "read" this land and lead its transformation:

Audit & Strategy: We need someone who can identify the various species already growing here and give us professional advice—deciding what to nurture, what to prune, and what needs to be cleared to make room for new growth.

Creating a Bio-Organic Oasis: Your main project will be to design and build a thriving vegetable garden from scratch. This garden will serve as a practical learning ground for our learning lab.

Management: You will manage the entire cycle—from soil preparation and choosing the right crops for the season to planting and irrigation systems.

Mentoring: As part of our learning lab, we want to learn from you. You’ll be sharing your knowledge of organic farming with us and our children, making sustainability a lived experience.

    Beyond the Garden:
While agriculture is the priority, you are welcome to get involved in our other "maker" projects, including woodworking, construction, and logic-based tasks.

    Musical Souls:
If you are a musician, you will find a very warm welcome here. We love filling our home with music and creativity, and we would be thrilled to have someone who can contribute to that energy after a day in the garden.
