    Description

We are a retreat venue focused on ecological and cultural regenerative experiences. Upcoming experiences include retreats in art therapy, meditation, dance facilitator trainings, rites of passage and much more. Our team in made up of an expanding and contracting group of 6 to 10 people, depending on the season, with young families, and individuals of different ages and backgrounds, who have grown up in many different parts of Australia.
During your time here you will be residing deep in the ancient rainforests, close to abundant native wildlife on a mountain with spectacular sunsets. There will be opportunities to meet the members of the multiple occupancy community of which the retreat is a part. You will have access to the historic 'Gonpa' formerly a Buddhist temple, to dance, play music, sing or to do your daily yoga, meditation or personal training practice. You will become part of a unique eco-project in it's start up phase. Your time here will be spacious and there will be plenty of time to soak up nature and enjoy a cuppa by the camp fire.

One of the greatest memories you will take from your time here is getting to know the Australian bush, the wildlife and the plants.

We are accepting expressions of interest for February - November 2019. We appreciate 2 to 4 people at a time to help with preparing the retreat venue for our guests. Jobs will include general clearing, cleaning, sometimes help in the kitchen, odd jobs and some gardening. You will sleep in a shared dorm room or cabin with one other person, if you are a couple this can be perfect! We will ask for 5 hours a day of work, 5 days a week, in exchange for your accomodation and meals. We will ask that you contribute to making shared meals with a small team of volunteers.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

If you have a vehicle there is so many rainforest walks to visit close by, including the ancient Border Ranges National Park. Alternatively there are fire trails to walk along and plenty of spaces to enjoy on our grounds. Retreat team members will offer to take you into Kyogle, a 20min drive from the Retreat, at least once during the middle of your two week stay here.
The residing retreat team are peace-loving creatures who like to quietly and practically get on with our work. We are artists and forest dwellers at heart and enjoy our time to commune in our own way, with our arts and nature. We love to celebrate life in community with music and festival culture, and some of us are new parents living and loving in family life.
