    Description

We aim to provide a friendly and welcoming environment to travellers who are looking to experience different cultures and ways of living.
Our aim is to inspire people to live in a sustainable way and to encourage cultural exchange and learning.
We also enjoy the opportunity to meet people from different countries and cultures .
We are currently initiating a series of new techniques to improve water retention and soil fertility in the veg gardens so if you would like to learn from us about these techniques this is a good opportunity.

This is a project to promote low impact living based on a large organic farm, mainly olive groves, some almond and fruit trees, large vegetable plots, and several self built houses ,situated in a valley with no road access but only 5 mins walk from the nearest village and 30 mins from a lively alternative town.(Orgiva)
We are completely off grid- solar power, compost toilets etc.
We have up to 5 or 6 volunteers at any one time helping with the running of the farm, self sufficiency (we produce all the fruit and veg we consume),looking after the animals (chickens, cats),,reed-bed systems etc
Kate is also a member of a small organic olive oil co-op where we take the olives to be milled.
The income from renting two eco cottages on the finca and the sale of olive oil are what finance this project but workawayers are not expected to work on either of these activities .
