    Description

☀️ Hi! We are now open for one person at the time +25 yo or families with kids 6/9 yo, with some practical skills (carpentery-bricolage, gardening-cleaning, pruining etc) looking for an immersive experience into nature and self-sustainable life💧

    Weee

We are Sergio, Francesca and our daughter (7 yo)... plus all the friends that for little or longer periods come to share some community life.

We live in a four hectares land 5 km from a little town in Lazio, between Tuscany and Rome.
A woodland with neolithic sacred spots, wild animals, a river at some minutes of sloping hike, a lot of paceful nature.

We have proudly created our home with what we had: good friends, soil, straw, stones and some recycle. The house is off-the-grid, with solar electricity, rainwater collecting systems, compost toilet, hydric system, stove, phytodepuration...

Our project is live consciously, fully and joyfully every moment.
We are open minded, love to learn and connect with ourself, others, nature. We take care with ecology in mind in every aspect of life and that is also why we love to handicraft what we need as much as possible and have fun harvesting both our veggie and the spintaneous edibles around here.

    Sergio
makes organic extravergine olive oil, beer, wine, bread, fermented food, greenwood carving... and most of the building stuff. To stop him working is difficult but not impossible, he also loves also table tennis, basket, poetry, hiking in the woods discovering ancient caves, eating well!
    Francesca
does basketery, bushcrafts, vegan cooking and creates events... She loves dancing, stearing at the nature, travel...
    Our daughter
she is a wonderful soul, loves to cook and play with friends, is very kind, sociable, energetic but respectful. She is able to play without knowing other languages than italian. She knows a bit of english.

    Who we can host

This is a place for people
comfortable with the no frills wilderness, independent, energetic, with practical and creative skills, happy to work outside, able to express themselves, on a path of personal growth, peaceful, playful and with some sense of humor!
Our place is wide open for children and other wild animals, not pets sorry.

We have a worldshooling attitude based on: nature as the teacher and adults as facilitators of discoveries; empathic communication; create learning contexts from concrete experiences; the need to let children play in a free way as much as possible.

We are open to the idea of hosting with their campervan even for longer terms people that became friends during a first period.

    The exchange

We offer a simple accomodation and to the workers food for 4-5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week. Organic veggies, beans, grains, seeds, spices, extravirgin olive oil, bread or flour, oat flakes to make milk... What you may need extra you can bring or buy in town, we only ask to choose while here a plant based no waste organic as possible menu.
In case of families we ask for a contribuition on goods expences.
Guests have their own kitchen outdoor, outside the camper. We love to share meals toghether but we are all free to do differently when we like to.

    How to reach us

At the train stops of Viterbo (1 h train from Rome) you can take a bus (Cotralspa.it) that will bring you to our town (name in private message) in 1 hour.
Attention! Please don't travel on Sundays! and check timetables before booking the train and call the Cotral +39 800174471 to double check timetables! Italian buses are a bit confusing.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

If you are by feet you can take a walk in the wood, go to the river next to our land, trek to the nearby archeological site of Rofalco, observe yourself in peace and silence in the wood...

Or you can (fix and) take our bike and a bus and go around, there is so much to see and do!

This is a straordinary land full of very ancient history and at the same time wild nature.
    We are sorrounded by woods ("Riserva Naturale Selva del Lamone") with waterfalls and pathways to Neolithic and Etruscan archeological sites (Rofalco, Castro, Vulci);
    There are free thermal springs at 20 min by car and at 40 min you can reach the famous thermal pools of Saturnia and San Filippo;
There are also beatiful waterfalls (Cascata del Salabrone etc.), rivers (Fiora) and lakes (Lago di Bolsena, Lago di Mezzano).
If you are interested in little medieval towns in 20-30 minutes you can see Pitigliano, Bolsena and Sorano.
The sea! Only 30 minutes from wonderful beaches of Monte Argentario
If you look for mountains we have Monte Amiata, 50 min far.
In this area there are also interesting local tiny museums (search for "Simulabo musei").
Our town in itself it's a very small town, but nice and usually welcoming.
