    Description

We have a beautiful old Georgian house in the countryside which needs love and attention. We are currently doing repairs, working on the garden to make it more sustainable. We have several projects that need help both inside and out which include painting, tidying up, archiving historic documents, chopping wood, building a natural water pond and a long list of other tasks. This is a beautiful but rainy part of the world. The house has been in my family for generations and is truly magical. We have a small theater and there are regular concerts, plays and other cultural activities. My family has always loved hosting people from around the world.

    Help

Painting, carpentry repairs, tidying up, gardening, photography for social media and clearing a space for a bio-diverse pond. We would also like to make a room for yoga practice. My father (82) lives here all the time and is very active. He is a gardener and a beekeeper. I spend part of my time here and part of my time in Spain. This is especially suitable for a couple or two friends who are looking for a beautiful place to live and work remotely. We have good internet connection.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

A bedroom with ensuite bathroom and an office/sitting room for private use. We can discuss cooking arrangements. There are three kitchens so you can eat and cook separately or join my father (and me) when I am there for meals. It is very flexible and we would discuss in advance what works best for you.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are lovely walks in the forest and mountains. There is a regular bus service to the local town where there is a vibrant cultural life (theatre, cinema, etc). There are mountain bikes available.

We love meeting people and enjoy conversations. However it is fairly remote so best for people who want to live in the countryside and who are self-sufficient.
