I stayed from end of July until end of August 2022 for four weeks at Asa and Christofer's farm, spending most of the time outside and sleeping all the nights in a tent next to the lake. Of course they offered me to sleep inside the house, but in the tent I was much closer to the peaceful and silent nature, for which I came to Sweden.
Five days
… read more the week there were waiting enough various task on the whole area. Whether indoors or outdoors, caring for the plants or the animals, learning new skills while helping Christofer constructing a greenhouse out of tree trunks or storing firewood for the cold and dark winter. Every task had its special sense and I had always the choice, which task I felt able to face. So I was often so involved in my work that I wouldn't have stopped the work without Asa's friendly reminder to do enough brakes, enjoy the nature and cuddle the sheep.
And actually there were many things to enjoy beyond work. Every morning I swam in the cold clear water of the lake, in the evening I went out by boat to watch the beautiful sunset. The long evenings were nice to sit by the fire, tasting some typical Swedish dishes, that Asa cooked on the open flame, and listening to her stories about Swedish custom. And on special days I went to the village's sauna, where I lit the fire to relax in nice 60-80 °C and jump into the lake to refresh.
It was really hard for me to leave the place and say goodbye to Asa and Christofer. For sure I will come back one day.
Warm-hearted greetings from Germany

Micha stayed with us for a month and was our first volunteer. He brought with him a very positive vibe and a will to learn and get new experiences. He is adventurous and very helpful and also took care of the farm pretty much on his own for two weeks. We had a good time with him staying here, got a lot of help and shared stories and laughs. He

It's been such a bliss spending about a week with Christofer and Åsa at their magic little farm in the middle of the woods. From the moment I arrived in the evening I felt right at home with both of them and really had the feeling of having ended up at a really good piece of earth! There was always something to do, also physical at times but

Both of them took really good care of me and made sure, I felt right at home. I slept at a small hut right next to the lake, where you could watch the most beautiful sunrises on the foggy water and make cozy fires in the evening. I am really thankful for this great and inspiring stay and having have met you two! I am sure I will be coming back again soon, hopefully with more time then! :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I spent a wonderful month at Åsa and Christofer's farm, they were really kind and welcoming hosts and I absolutely loved living at such a simple, remote and beautiful place. Their project is super inspiring, they are full of amazing ideas to grow and improve their farm and they tend to their animals with so much love and care! The work I did was

We had an absolutely amazing time at Asas ans Christofers beautiful place. The two are really kind, open and hospitable. The work we did was nice and it was a great experience to live without electricity and running water. Also, Asa cooked some typical swedish dishes for us, we ate around the bonfire and were canoeing on the lake right in front of
