Hej everyone
This is Laila, I would like to welcome you here.
If you are looking for an authentic Swedish forest off-grid living experience, you may not need to look any further. For more than 25 years I call this beautiful piece of Land my home. I am located in the middle of the forest, it’s about a 15 minutes’ drive by car to the next train station and shops.
At this moment I am living here with my two cats. In the past I owned goats which gave me fresh milk. I would love to have the goats back this year as well as the chickens.
With the help of many great volunteers, family and friends I am living here, totally off-grid, meaning that I get my water supply from two wells, produce the electricity by solar energy, heat my houses with wood stoves, and enjoy seasonal harvest from my gardens.
This is a place of “home-coming”. It invites every visitor, staying short or long, to step closer into nature and towards themselves. Consciously choosing to refrain from overstimulation by the outside world, this place allows you to connect with nature, its elements, and stimulates your natural talents.
My vision for this place is to share it with like minded individuals and offer this place as a playground for others to meet each other, and to reconnect with themselves.
There is also a part of the barn which is dedicated as a community space, this is where free Events will be held for example the monthly “lets unite” gathering.
How you can help me…?
I am a big fan of recycling and restoring the old structures of the buildings here.
There are 2 tiny houses on the property which have been renovated in the last years. I am looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic, creative, individuals which may have some wood-work, painting, or building experience to help me with following projects for 2023:
- Painting the front of the main
house
- Building a compost toilet
Or maybe your talents are to find in the following projects:
- Preparing the garden for new
crops (cleaning, weeding, planting)
- Helping with cooking
- Maintenance
- Work on the internet site, online presentation
- Assisting with creating and hosting monthly “Lets unite” events.
In exchange for your help I am offering you a very unique experience where you will either stay in one of the two tiny houses, in your own room in the main house or maybe you are coming with your own van or tiny home?
As it is an off-grid experience I expect every visitor to respect their own usage of power and water. There could be days without warm water or where a dip in the water of the nearby lakes is serving us as a shower/bath.
I am open for short and long stays, although I would enjoy very much to have people stay for longer periods of time to really co-create on the bigger projects and dreams.

It gives you a different way of looking at life here, surrounded by nature with your own basics compared to 'luxury' features ning of what you find so normal in your daily life and often totally unaware of or deal with it. Water-Power Heat supply!

You can canoe in your free time, swimming, cycling, walking in the countryside. The house is about 15 minutes from the bus / train station wondering where you can easily different places bezoeken.Tevens lie close to the East (shaving) coast. In summer open activities such as gold panning, visit caves, moose park and much more.
