Description
We are a female family of 3. My 90 year old mom, my 54 year old partner and me (66). We are native Dutch. Speak dutch, german and english. Trying to learn hungarian. A very difficult language.
We moved to Hungary 2019, december. A big house and even bigger garden. Most of it is grass. You should not be afraid to get your hands dirty or be afraid of bugs.
We have 4 little dogs, 3 poodle and 1Yorkshire.
We live in a nice quiet village called Vése, about 30 km from lake Balaton.
As accomodation we can provide one of two caravans for 2 people each.
You can also bring your own accomodation like a tent or mobilhome, if you want.
We could use help in mowing the grass. Create a vegetable garden.
Clean the flower beds.
Trimming the hedge.
Do some painting inside and outside.
Vése is a nice quiet village. Our garden is 1500m2. We have a beautifull swimming pool.
We would also like someone to help us learn Hungarian?
In our village you can take a bus to Marcali, Kaposvár or Nagykanisza.
And from there a train to other cities.
Along the lake Balaton are lot of trainstations.
We can pick you up in Balatonszentgyörgy or Zalakomár, when you travel to us.
But only during the daytime.
Almost every Sunday there is a market in the larger towns around us. We can go there together.
Also we could plan a day trip to some cities.
I (Inge) like to cook, maybe learn something too.Types of help and learning opportunities
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Animal Care
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
General Maintenance
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will have plenty of time to travel around in the area. Explore all the little villages. See how the people live here. Visit towns like Marcali, Kaposvar, Nagytad, Nagykanisza and more.
Our town has a bus stop.
The bus only leaves every hour.
Take nice walks around the village.
To talk to most villagers you will need a good translater app on your phone, because most of them only speak Hungarian.
We do have very little contact with our neighbours because of the language
The heat is a big problem at the moment.
To hot to work much at one time.Help
We could really need some help with Gardening. Mowing the grass with machines, partly very heavy.
Cutting the hedges, electrical machines. This is the most urgent at the moment.
For this it is required to have some experience in garden work.
Building an extra roof over one caravan.Languages

Thank you for everything.
These people are so friendly and so kind, amazing!!
While I was being there, it wasn't really hard working, but you still need to do your tasks.
In the 2 weeks I spent most of the time working in the garden.
I got jobs like mowing the grass, cutting the hedge, made a nice fence, etc.

We were very sad to see you go so soon.
