Description
It is a small NGO. We ran a kindergarden for 12 years until 2020. Currently we are managing 2 complementary structures in the township of Otjiwarongo :
• A schoolchildren Library with 2500 books
Unique place of culture, the library was opened in 2015. During the week, children and teenagers appreciate the quiet environment where they can find resources to read, to do their homework and their documentary researches. On Saturday morning, other activities are proposed, like sportive and board games, handicrafts, movies projections, book related activities…
• A cultural center as a place of expression and creativity
To expand its activities and expend its cultural offer, it has created a cultural center. Offering a variety of courses in the cultural and intellectual fields (such as dance, plastic arts, theater, or computer science...) it’s especially aimed at teenagers

Otjiwarongo being a small town, there are no so much opportunities to hang out. But your working environment will give you chances to meet local people and to enjoy their simple life.
Help
We are looking for multi task volunteers, willing to assist in any fields :
- Coordination and logistic of the art classes
- Involvement in art and craft activities
- Assistance of the project manager in her day to day activities.
- Maintenance of the buildings (small repairs and painting works)
- Assistance for the update of our web site and facebook pages
- Internet crowdfunding

Accommodation
An independant studio, fully furnished with a private toilet and bathroom (water and electricity included). This small house is situated on a share land with a house occupied by a local family.
Wifi : at your working place only
You may walk from this accomodation to your working place or town for shopping in 15 minutes time or use the bicycle which is at your disposal.
You will receive a food allowance of 4€ a day for your meals that you have to prepare yourself.
Only the food won't be provided for the volunteers.
A flat will be available for them, and a bike to get around.
What else ...
During your free time you may make excursions around the town with a collective taxi or join other volonteers of other organizations to visit the cheetah conservation fund, the Waterberg or further to the seaside.
